Does anyone know what this fruit is called? I know it as "trai nhung" literally "velvet fruit". I can't seem to find any info except some pics on the web.

Does anyone know if there's something similar to Suan Supatra Land in Phuket? I've not had much luck googling and only found out about Suan Supatra Land while googling the other day.

Also, I would be interested in trying to bring some seeds back - can anyone direct me to the best place to get the very best fruits? Many thanks in advance.

has anyone had success growing astringent persimmons from seed? if yes, how long did it take for the seedling to set fruit?

i'm asking because after failed attempts at locating a nice tasting astringent persimmon tree for my garden, I am hoping to grow one myself from store purchased fruit when they come into season.
