I have one on site at work, wondering what it is and if it is worth grafting.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Suitable for grafting?

I have seedlings here from a large mango tree that looks like Ford to my eye, although I dont have much mango experience, it is a large tree with large fruit with a good deal of fiber, and is quite prone to anthracnose. The flavor is pretty good, but it often gets jelly seeds.

I'm wondering if seedlings from this tree would be okay for rootstock as the tree itself (planted in 1974 by the previous owners of my home) is huge and healthy and seems undaunted by the fungal problems on the fruit. Should I bother? Or search out a better rootstock variety? I'm mostly going to be practicing grafting again after many years away from it, but don't want to create throw away trees either...
