Tropical Fruit Discussion / Roots or leaves?
« on: October 20, 2015, 03:05:49 PM »
Hi guys,
I successfully germinated a Mundu seed (garcinia dulcis). I did it with the wet paper towel method, it took about 2,5 months till a red little thing popped out of the seed. I don't know if it are the leaves or if it is a root... It is important for me to know, because I need to plant it in soil soon.
Thanks for your help,
Max

I would post a picture, but I don't know how it wokrs...

Hi everyone,

Does anybody of you sell Myrciaria tenella (camboim/cambuí) or Eugenia multicostata (araçá-piranga) seeds (or know anybody selling them)? M. tenella should be in season right now (Sept.-Oct.) I have heard. E. multicostata actually also in Oct.-Nov.
I read a lot of these very interesting fruits and wuold be happy to grow them in my own.

Thank you in advanced,
Max

Hello there

Does anyone have some fresh (harvested this month or so) seeds of Camu Camu (Myrciaria dubia) or lúcuma (Pouteria lucuma), or can advise me a good website selling them?
Are they even in season right now?
They are really hard to find, so I am very grateful for any reply.

-Max
