Tropical Fruit Discussion / Phoenix mango
« on: July 19, 2019, 08:58:46 AM »
So I had my first Phoenix mango off a small tree ,the only one on that tree.It had started to change color so picked it let set 3 days and.... I think it is in the top 5 for me flavor was like a mix of bombay or white pari crossed with dot. Also no anthracnose so very clean, now waiting for the other tree to ripen with 5 on it. Nice complex flavor very sweet not to much acid good balance.

Telfairia pedata anyone ever mess with this vine?I put two on a mango and some on jaks that i didn't like. The one on the mango I sawed off because it's to aggressive and the sawed off ends  rerooted to the soil, it's to bad  because one was flowering and was female. Seems much more aggressive than ugu TelfairiaOccidentalis.
