You certainly did.  That is precisely what I said.

It is indeed green algae.  Isn't it lovely ?   I don't have to foliar feed my plants, but its smart to do so, but especially mangosteen. "Not my plants" ? Did you say ?  Is that right !?  Do you have any money to put where your mouth is I wonder !!

I use General Hydroponics nutrients with Diamond Nectar. I reduce the strength 50 percent and feed constantly via foliar, and every 2 to 3 days via root.  My plants are only 5 months old and they look great. However, I have 5 slow-growers that are alive, but growing very little.
I am using them as a control group since they were all planted at the same time. The JEDI Knights, are a little under 9.5".  I am using a proprietary root-development procedure.  If that works you will hear about it for sure. I started out with 20 seeds and wound up with 6 all star, super-star seedlings.  But, I also figured out what's wrong with the mangosteen industry. Unbelieveable !!!  You can see the plants at: HydroponicConfigurationSystems.com.

Four of the 6 JEDI Knights !!  (lol)

Everyday, several times per day, depending on humidity and airflow, between 14 and 60 times.  Plant foods have to be weak and the pH has to be lowered. I figure that foliar and root feeding have to produce the best results.

I started off with a bunch of irradiated fruit.  Then I got 20 seeds from Montoso Gardens.  Nine did not germinate and of the 11 that did, 6 were obvious fast growers and 5 were 'dead in the water' slow-growing.

This is 4 of the 6 JEDI Knights.

Hello, everyone ! I am a new Newbie from New York ! I love most fruits, but I have a particular attachment and preference for Mangoes.  I got a few from Walmart and decided to see whether the seeds would germinate.  The seeds survived on nothing but plain filtered water for 3 to 4 months.  Two of the seeds didn't survive.  My tree is about 18 months old, 14.5" tall, with gorgeous micro-detailed leaves. I originally potted the seedling into an Orchid Potting Mix and brought it inside for the Fall & Winter.  Recently, around mid-April, I transferred the seedling to a 5 gallon hydroponic system, with super-aeration and an 18 Watt LED (90 watt incandescent replacement). The intricate cellular detailing in the new medium-green leaves, is breathtaking for me.  It looks like microscopic cell structuring, without the microscope, and the plant is sprouting 8 brand-new leaflets.  The tree may have suffered several months of neglect, as a seedling (the seed was still attached when I put the plant on hydo).  However, I am inclined to believe that the tree/seedling is extremely healthy.  I have zero experience growing Mango trees, and have no idea what to expect.  How long will it be before this seedling becomes too large to handle and what can I do to accelerate fruit production ?    HCS-1
