Ouch that sucks  :( i unfortunately cant get trees in Canada so have to go the slow route(by seed). That being said its a WAY cheaper option at only $1.50/seed and $5-10/scion

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Jaboticaba rootstocks???
« on: July 30, 2020, 10:55:52 AM »
I am looking for information on what type of seeds i should be looking for. I live in Canada zone 9a(but a very cool and wet 9a) i have a couple dozen red hybrids but have been told that they wont work for grafting. Id love to start creating some multigrafted trees with a variety of cultivars, what rootstock would you recommend? From what i have seen most people are using sabara?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer,
Cheers

Looking for several varieties but only 1 or 2 of each, and need them shipped to Canada.

I have one growing in canada zone 9a. Its 2 years old now, its like the plant gets nutrient lockout in the cold months the leaves still grow but are very light green. Now that its finally warming up again(really cooly wet june) the leaves are darkening up nicely and growth is picking up.

Another year, another great transaction. This time made the decision to go priority international, it paid dividends....half the shipping time and all scions look fresh and ready to grow....
Thanks again achetadomestica

Looks like pitangatuba
Hey Mike, I think I may have gotten a seed mixed up.
Could you ID this plant?

I had it marked pitomba but it doesn't match my other ones.
