Check with forum member Adam at Flying Fox Fruits. That's where I
bought mine.

Same here, they grow super slow so make sure you get decent size and as old as you can afford it to be.

Nice find Raul, as always thank you for your continued efforts to explore and share those amazing rare fruits with us all here!

Guys, no offense, but it is a little unprofessional and unnecessary to bust the guy over his pricing for a product he is trying to move.  That same fruit, plus SA's, etc, sells at local vendors in Miami for much more right off the street corner--not even including the added benefit of shipping to the doorstep.  They are hefty, but for good reason when most people pay for the fruit for a ROI by selling the seeds online.

Depending on the quality of his product, and with everything going on, it is likely competitive, and some vendors are raising prices to avoid running out of stock entirely to meet demand.

Completely agree.

I too agree, well said. it's seems to me cheaper option than buying from here:

https://miamifruit.org/collections/frontpage/products/atemoya

or maybe if you have a fancy website its OK?

Guys I am no loquat expert, what is your top three must have?

Also my second question and I don't mean to offend anyone, assuming the name refer to the size, I have seen Loquat smaller than big jim sure, but I have also seen larger, much larger. My question is why Big Jim and not average jim ? What does big jim taste like compared to others?

I'm tempted. Any pics of the mother tree? No fruit off it yet? Do you need the wasp?

FYI, from what I found about them online a while back; they are deciduous trees, and you are not likely to get true to parent fruits from seeds.

Thanks manvfruit! I checked out figbid and they have lots of good stuff. Someone did have the golden rainbow but theyíre in Florida and donít ship to California.

Simon

You welcome, I would offer you a trade for something, but I only have Golden Riverside USDA version (5 gallon), and I also have a special CDD Gris I am rooting, not sure if it's Baud variety or not but Its reported to be a mutation of the CDD Grise or something like that. I will try to find you a picture of it. I got it because of Joe Hewitt; he probably know more about it than I do. Those are the only two close to your list, but I agree with Mftek, you are missing out top figs.

I have tasted probably around 40  varieties most of which I grew myself here in San Diego, I settled with around 25-30 trees, I am not going name them for the sake of keeping the discussion on topic, but If I have something you like PM me, I am sure we can workout a trade for something who knows! here are pics of some of the figs I grow....

Anyone know where I can get these following varieties:
1) Col De Dame(CDD) Gris ( Baud)
2) Bens Golden Riverside
3) Long Yellow
4) Golden Rainbow

I just picked up a Yellow Longneck from Wellspring garden. I donít know much about figs and Iíve read some of these yellow cigs listed above may be the same variety but I believe the Golden Rainbow is different because it has the red inside.

Iím looking rooted trees and not cuttings. Thanks in advance!

Simon

By the way Ben's Golden Riverside is the same fig as Golden Rainbow, it was renamed by the owner much after to 'Golden Rainbow'.
