Coconut all I can say is thank you for allowing me to do a taste test on your 15 years of work. Your sugar apples which the pictures do not even show how big these things are look amazing. You guys should see how productive these trees are also without any hand pollination :o Absolutely incredible. Can't wait to try them.

Coconut, that was an impressive jackfruit and only from a three year old tree :oI'm sure your neighbors going to let  you plant whatever you want on his yard now. Let me now if you have any extra boca giant chewy sugar apples next week I'd love try them.

53
That looks like an awesome jack! Would have loved to try it.

Hi Jeff, I have been doing the same with my gefner every small mango that fell from my trees went under my tree and even though I am hand pollinating when I can I am noticing an increase in the number if fruits my tree had and when I go to hand pollinate I am seeing the pollinators already in the flowers.

Brandon thanks for the report. How would you compare it to others you have tried as far as flavor and texture?

Just ate my last mango (Neelam) of the season. It was excellent and not bad to be eating mangos in October.

So as I promised myself I would be patient with my remaining Neelam mangos and let them ripen or at least show some color change on the tree before picking them. I found one on the ground two days ago. I placed it in a paper bag and let it sit in my garage until today when I got home from work. I have to say it was one of the best mangos I had this year. It's weird though because I have had others from the tree that weren't all that. I'm thinking it was the way I let it fully ripen vs the other ones that weren't quite there. Definitely a keeper for me if I can get them to all taste like today's. Then again maybe it was so good today because I'm having mangos in October and haven't had a good mango since earlier in the summer. Still have 3 on the tree.

I still have 10 green fruit on my tree. I had a well ripened one last week that was amazing yet I have also had a couple that were a little underripe and they weren't too pleasant. The ones remaining on the tree I'll try to let ripen or at least break color on the tree before I pick them and let em fully ripen before eating them will have a follow up report with pics.

64
Looks similar to my questionable Neelam. My tree had 24 mangos this year and just this week 3 of them have changed color and I picked them off to ripen. I still have a loaded tree.

Nice fruit it looks like it has zero latex from the pictures. It's also nice to have fresh jack as mango season is winding down.

I have a bangcock lemon seedling and a seedling from Harry's tree which is a Blackgold Tabouy cross I believe.

Condensed milk is a must and I also use ice with milk. However I'm sure it's also great with vanilla ice cream and condensed milk.

The bigger one on the Fairchild pic seems to have the beak. Would be interesting to see how my mangos develop they are still fairly small and have about another month maybe longer. Whatever it is Neelam or not the tree seems precocious My son yanked out like nine more a couple weeks back he's only 2 years old so for only being a two year old tree it had over 30 mangos and it seems to be a late season mango too. I'll keep you all posted and Harry im up for another tasting at your house let me know or when my Neelams? Start ripening I'll let you know. I'll keep everyone posted.

Update!
So my Neelam mango tree has 23 fruits on it and im looking forward to trying this mango. There was some questions due to the rapid growth of this tree wether it actually was a Neelam or a possible mixup by the Fairchild crew, well here are some pics of the fruit. They still need about another month or so but what do you guys think is it Neelam or something else? Also the tree is about 12 ft tall right now.

I have been picking them as soon as they get some red on them and then place them on the counter for a couple of days and they will get fully red and ripe then I eat them. Before I was letting them fully ripen on the tree but was also getting beat to most of them by squirrels.
