For the people that asked about the flavour:

It is very sweet and it has a kind of aromatic very interesting flavor. It smells great too. One of the best natural occurring annonas that have great scope for breeding!

For any orders, please email me privately.

As a grandfather of these Mike babies I claim my rights LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Mike, may be I forgot to tell tou how strong these ones grow. if you put it in a tree, just forget to see them again. I had mine over the roof in another house, and had no choice that to cut it back, because it was taking it over, and damaging it.  Well now you know LOL

Other than that, I love this fruit, you can eat raw, make juice, make jams, etc etc

Hugs

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Sapucaia nuts

Poisonus, not at all. the nuts are delicious. See:
Monkey-pot fruit or castanha-sapucaia (Lecythis ollaria ou L. pisonis), family Lecythidaceae:
The monkey-pot fruit or castanha-sapucaia (Lecythis ollaria ou L. pisonis) is a very curious fruit indeed, related to the Brazil nut (Bertholletia excelsa), both in the Lecythidaceae family. These monkey-pots measure 17 by 17cm (6.7 inches), larger than a Brazil nut capsule. Much larger monkey-pots can be found in the Amazon. The monkey-pot is known as a pyxidium fruit, a capsular fruit that dehisces around its circumference so that the upper portion falls off like a cap, allowing the seeds to fall to the ground, different from the Brazil nut whose seeds are protected inside a non-dehiscing woody fruit capsule. Indications are that the seed of this fruit, known as the cream nut or paradise nut, entered into international trade even before the Brazil nut, because these trees range along Brazil's Atlantic forest in addition to the Amazon. In Brazil, this fruit is known by its Tupi-derived name, sapucaia.     ERIC ROGER STONER

Mike

I never know for sure when they  are rippen  but for sure when they crack they must be rippen LOL.  They begin to smell good when they are ready to harvest!

They need hot weather to mature.

Some years ago I have a different variety more long than these ones. There is one that is redish also.

More info here, confirming they last for months after hervested!

I am not sure but I  believe you can keep easily 3-4 months or more.

Same taste, just a little bigger seeds. I really like these fruits, you can eat them raw, or prepare juices, jellies, etc. The seeds are also edible.
