BACUPARI MIUDO - Posoqueria acutifolia

Very interesting native fruit tree. Fruit edible. Seeds roasted are used as a coffee substitute (Wild Coffee is another used name). Medicinal. Small and VERY ornamental tree:


GIANT SOURSOP - Annona muricata MORATA - FRESH SEEDS

GOLDEN SHOWER TREE - Cassia fistula

Not edible fruit. Medicinal & Very ornamental small tree.
PAU SANTO DO CERRADO - SACRED TREE OF CERRADO - Kielmeyera variabilis

Not edible fruit. Medicinal & Very ornamental small tree.
CHRISTMAS VINE - OLOLIUQUI - Rivea or Turnina corymbosa

Not edible. Very ornamental vine, used also used by Shamans for ritual purposes. VERY IMPRESSIVE, I got over 5000 flowers this year!
BLUE PASSION FLOWER - Passiflora coerulea
A non tropical Passion Fruit full of anti-oxidants.



UBAJAY - Hexachlamy edulis LIMITED QUANTITY

Myrtaceae. Grows in tropical, subtropical an even in moderate temperate zones.

JABORANDI Pilocarpus jaborandi

Not edible, but VERY ORNAMENTAL and VERY IMPORTANT MEDICINAL, small tree

GUAMIRIN CHORÃO (CRYING GUAMIRIM) - Myrciaria disticha[/b]

Myrtaceae. VERY RARE. FEW SEEDS AVAILABLE.

It is delicious and refreshing. The ones I tried were not too much acidic and I enjoyed them very much. And remember you have the pseudo fruit and the the cashew nuts to enjoy.  Yes no need of 2 trees for fruits.

I like them too. I think it is possible to find some variety that is not dioecious. I even have (somewhere) a white variety (fruits never get dark) from Roatan, that Raul sent to me several years ago!
