Its been in my neighborhood for about 20 years and ive never seen it flower, It looks like fruit is growing on it.

Im not really sure what type of loquat it is but i know the original one planted in the neighborhood were seeds brought from japan, they are heavy producers tho.

Thanks, I looked on google but there was some conflicting info and still didnt tell me how exactly they produce the fruit with male/female or hermaphrodite, But i didnt search threw all the info on here. Definitely got my answer threw Asaffron and fruitlovers thread.

Ive been trying to germinate fresh nuts from brazil for over a year now, any special tips or anything i should know about germinating/propagation.

The way i germinated my cherimoya was by soaking them for 4 days and the seeds that sank to the bottle all germinated. I also put them in Fox Farm ocean forest soil which just about guarantees germination and a good start, but regular potting soil will work too, just not as good .

Did research on all the seeds and how to germinate/propagate them, I read some are better as a cutting and some of the seeds dont fruit, figured id give it a try. just wondering if any one has any experience tips. I will be using Fox Farm light warrior grow medium mix with some Fox Farm Ocean forest soil.

I filled a 5 foot deep hole in with fruit compost, mushroom compost, cow manure, leaves, a couple oak logs, peat moss, and a lot of azomite water. Kept it all warm by tarping in the front yard and using a basic room heater, stayed above 55 always, and on cold nights kept it at 65 with heat lamps. Good luck with your garcinias simon, I just recently received a achachairu seedling so hopefully we'll both be having fruit in about ten years.

Anyone know of a source for Trichopus Zeylanicus (arogyappacha) seeds or plant, Its a rare herb from india around the foothills of the Himalayan mountains. Known from the famous indian ayurvedic formula JEEVANI.

Thank you for the info. Im sure they since the lack of sun and the lil bit of cold (nothing under 65f) their subjected to. I was starting to wonder but patience always pays off in this case, any day now hopefully.

I received Jabuticaba seeds 3 months ago and none have germinated yet, I have the majority in awesome potting mix, and the others in ph ranging from 7.5-6.5 just to see which is best. I was curious to know if the seeds are like camu camu seeds which i had germinate 8 months after planting. Anyone have experience in germinating the seeds

They say its 33.8 right now on wunderground.com and 38 on weather.com, but i just went outside it feels like a lot of heat is coming off the ground so it doesnt really feel that cold. The thermometer with all my tropicals is reading 83 on one side and 76 on the other so keeping pretty warm here either way. Put some jackfruit, camu camu, mammey sapote and random others outside in the moon away from the heat just to let them get used to the cold while their young, Going to monitor if there is any cold stress on them but so far looking good.
