You probably need to hand pollinate it.

should be fine.

+1 sorry forgot to mention that.

I use it all the time with no ill affects, I rinse it a little and spread it around the trees. There isn't as much salt it in as people think. I mulch with sea grass and seaweed 2" thick, 4 times a year.

I like a 15-20 deg, more maintenance, but the added sharpness is worth it to me. I use about the same angle on almost all of my knives grafting or not.

I finally broke my wife of the replanting pots with seeds after a few months, I try to give seeds a year to popup. I  have had fox tail palms take 2 years to germinate.

Really? Thanks, that's wonderful to hear!

How long ago did you plant them? How are they doing now? How long until they fruit from seed?

I realize I'm in this for the long haul, but it will certainly be exciting when I can at least see a seedling! I hope some stupid thing doesn't eat it, like it's been eating all my new scarlet runner bean seedlings... no clue what it is, I am am pretty sure the property is rat-free now, and I don't have any rabbits or deer or anything like that... maybe the iguanas are at it again?... Hopefully, Tropical Almond leaves are very un-tasty!

I would check for snails, I have lost a lot of small seedlings because of them.

I would strip off all the leaves and see how the new leaves look when it wakes up.

The ones I have ate tasted like seafood in a good way.

14
I guess not... it could be some other bug introducing this infection.

15
this is totally off topic but anyone knows how to get rid of iguanas?
Or deter them from eating my young fruits seedlings or worse yet my hibiscus and other plants?

the cds can work but the only real way I have found is to shoot them dead, kill the little ones and any nests around.

16
My guess would be that its fruit fly damage that causes the rot.

17
Sounds like a great event, keep us updated

The tree at the grove is great tasting, eat them a lot.
I have a breadfruit and a cheena at my house.
