It's possible that my squirrel fruit eating problem has not reached the level that it has for you guys. Today I found and avocado literally eaten in half by squirrels. What I don't like about .22 is that if I miss, it'll come down God knows where. If my squirrel problem starts to get out of hand, I'll probably use a combination of methods that you guys have mentioned, and maybe others not mentioned yet, like maybe using one of those police electrocution wire shooting hand guns, and maybe, while the squirrel is dying from the electrocution, I'll be saying: 'Die zombie/plage, die.' LOL

A good pellet gun will kill squirrel and not travel as far. work for iguanas as well.
Although my biggest pest are key deer, they are endangered so i can't do a thing but fence off the trees, i cant fence of my whole yard because  the deer need to walk through. >:(

Once or twice a day they also like a lot of humidity. Some commercial growers water three times a day.

I leave most predatory bugs alone because they eat other bad bugs the ants and wasps make it that i don't have much of a caterpillar problem, but the fire ants and any thing that messes with the trees or plants dies. a big pot of boiling water kills ant nests in the grass.

Wow!  Thanks for all the information about seaweed.  I'm very impressed.  Looks like with all the seaweed available to me all I need is to get the manure from some local stables to create the perfect compost and soil and a super-garden.  ;D
Yeah that would be the bomb! I use a lot of compost, I have 4 composers i made out of trashcans that takes most of my garbage, and a big plus for me is the fact that no food in the trash means the key deer don't get into the trash and spread it around my yard, those deer are my biggest pests, do more damage than any bug  or disease.

I know a guy down here in the keys that dumps ice over the roots of his oranges, he says it makes them better.

thank you all, I'm hoping for less cold wind than last winter, because it burned a lot of the leaves on the breadfruit, its crazy how weather in the 50's pisses off true tropicals lol.

I'm glad it just washes ashore here many times a year.  What is it in seaweed that makes it such a good plant food?  Minerals?  What else?

the minerals and the growth hormones in the seaweed is what I've read.

I thought msg was derived from a kind of kelp, but i could be wrong, I do know kelp is really good as a soil additive.
