Thanks for all the tips. For those of you who are successful,can you tell me your combination of scion/rootstock cultivars so that I know more about the compatibility before I attempt grafting.

The bud graft method works for me.
Hi Jet,
I'm fairly new to this hobby and only bud grafted a few unknown Asian guavas and the seedless type with big round leaves. Budding for me is easier/more successful than veneer or cleft.
