I am sure you all know that Annona seeds should not be eaten .

My wife loves A. muricata - guanabana / graviola / soursop and always makes juice from them , normally I clean the fruit and remove the seeds .
Even tough I mentioned it 100 times not to blend the pulp with the seeds she just ignored me and had a whole pitcher seeds and all . Resulting in a violent intestinal reaction and visit to the emergency room .

I just made a note not to bring the Akee home .
 

A friend found this , did not taste it and no info on size etc....I asked for another pic , cut fruit seeds etc.....

Some people suggested a wild Diospyros.....

Bangkok , years and years ago I send a wild Mexican Pitahaya ( Pitaya for some people ) to Leo from the Pitahaya yahoo group .
After it fruited , in California , he told me that this was the best he ever had and said he named it after me ( not verified ) The color inside is a very dark red going to purple . It must be very good because after planting several I never had the chance to taste one , the birds and workers always beat me .

Unless you're a fanatic ( I used to be ) or a botanical garden , I really don't think some like the A. cacans , coriacea , crassiflora , Rollinia emarginata and Duguetias are worth the efforts .
A very long wait for the seeds to germinate and after soo many years very little pulp .
What do you think about it ?

Early flowering and it looks like there's gonna be a good crop .

This is the time before dinner and I always have a shot or 3 of Tequila as an aperitif , sometimes I come up with these great ideas / thoughts , the Tequila maybe.....?
So after the M. trunciflora post this popped in my mind :

Having several jaboticabas fruiting would there be a chance of ending up with a new hybrid , I know this would be a very long shot planting all the seeds ....waiting xxx years ...you know what I mean .

Berries are ripening now , some of you wanted seeds ( free ) , send me a mail ....

I am still some time away ( maybe one year or two ) from having fruit but better get prepared .
I know in Brazil they have machines for extracting the juice but there must be other ways to do this I guess .
