For all those who are looking for a really unique fruit. Yara Yara the mysterious fruit from the Amazon is a great choice.
This year I found stands of Yara Yara trees that bear exceptionally large fruits weighing about 300-400 grams.

Taste is fantastic and it even gets better when you get to the center. The red flesh reminds me of TRopical Dream Papaya, better much better.

Hi,
Can anyone help me to ID this Annonacea. The flesh is similar to Duguetias around the seeds.
Quite a bit of flesh actually compared to many Duguetias. It is creamy and sweet.

I found this Duguetia very sweet and tasty it is my favorite right after Duguetia lepidota. Still could not Id it. The Annona is called locally Cherimoya del monte

Hi,
After a long search I found Duguetia lepidota. The taste of the ripe fruit is very delicious I would describe the flavor as a Apricot taste with slight undertone of very good Jackfruit. I will upload a foto later when I have a fast Internet connection
