Raul buddy and to all my international friend not verse in American Regional Diversity; here is what I posted awhile back in june in my whitman fiberless flower first time thread. Sorry you read the thread back ward and miss it Raul, do not put fresh fecal matter on young plant, age it; otherwise you will kill anything even goat or chicken dropping.  Raul if no one is looking, you can drop a few selfices = selfies + feces = nightsoil.  Go back and re-read my thread and you wont miss all the great foto of the process.  Never fresh stuff on, always age so you dont kill the manure worms that feed and break up the nutrient for the Whitman Fiberless;  When it is fruiting you need a organic slow release plus something that keep a population of worms under the tree.  If you can not find worms thriving under the tree, you are not I repeat get any fruit.  I dont know why but that has been my general observation, my firm rollinia XXXSnob became fruitful as of right now second in 2015 to set fruit even though it flowers year round.  When I was using Excalibur 20 cheapo fertilizer, it did not set fruit so I swap for redneck fertilizer.  When the seedlings are young yes you can use the chemical fertilizer, but when they start flowering on XXXSnob Firm Rollinia and Whitman Fiberless, a slow release fertilizer benign to the worms and earthly denizens set self fruiting like what I have experience during the last two years as compare to the first four years of nothing but grief.

Keep up the good reports! The Arusha selection will not be comparable with 'Whitman Fiberless' in fruit quality though I do expect it will stand out from the common fiberrich types - however, with a total of more than 75 fruits on my bigger tree and plenty of flowers still emerging it is a very high yielding type worth growing. And it is neglected.!

Soren that is music to my ears, neglected and self pollinating fruits that rain on your cornocopia, a blessing traits that will be bred into the whitman so I dont have to dump zinc sulphate and excessive babysitting in my Old Age.  I got mine frim Broward Fruit & Vegetable 208 sale and I think they source them from Excalibur or a private local grafter.  For some of you wanting a plant, I suggest getting some of the nurseries in your area, contact Oscar for the Original and have Adam or other graft you the fable Whitman unfruitful one (than follow Redneck Botany) I am just a barn yard sith fart breeding in my golden year to keep my distress low while I built gilted mansions for the Whales and yes I am not a nursery business.  There are those that are master grafters here that can get it for those that have a desire to baby Whitman fiberless to fruitation; than copy redneck science as experiences by this Appalachian Hillbilly and hopefully they will fuit abundant for you like they did for this Choctaw!😀

Whatever Seeds I have managed to produce goes into my breeding selection program over the next decades ( trade are only to other sith breeders or Sith Collectors who have a heavy desired to spread the selection far and wide & have something of interest to trade) hopefully an improved Whitman Fiberless with the self high pollination bearing of Soren Arusha traits with the cold, disease, pest resistant of the Whitman Original; but above all a fiberless creamy flesh that melt in your mouth not choking your throat with its no melt in your mouth cottony fiberflesh!😄. Yuup hopefully two strains to develop; Boca Snob Whitman & Soren Arusha Whitman will be improved Whitman fiberless for the lazy pomologists!😆

Ok Redneck Fertilizer; many Moon Ago in the distant Hills of Tennesee & Virginia my Choctaw mixed trail struggling Redneck clan was moon shining by the nite and stratching corn from the spent coal hills by day! We were so dirt poor, hell we had a dirt floor to brag the winter can be cold without the home shine.  The only fertilizer that were free were hill night soil ( appalachian slang for selfies😆💩💩🙏🏾🙏🏾).  One day in the outhouse the old man notice that the ye old Sear and Mongomory Ward catalogs pump from the outhouse made our corn yield better than chemical ammonia fertilizer they pump as explosive in coal pit open mining.  Yes as a child the Sears & Mongomery Ward Catalogs were our toilet papers as well as redneck Playboy Magazine with the underwear Models we learn to dream in our youth before they come out with these modern Victoria Secret Underwear models catalog that left scimpy nothing else for the imagination!😫

My old Paw told us the white man stole our land so its not a crime for us to take advantage of white man institutions; old man said The Great Spirit gave us His blessing and the Earth Mother will give us a cornucopia bounty and protect us from the Revenuer!  So us youngun of ten would fill out every catalog sending companies that send free catalogs.  We dumpster dive the area Ku Klux Clan  Meeting Club for all kind of flyers and carboard boxes and they were only too happy to trade racist insults for free garbage cleaning.  We brew our cardboard, newspaper with barnyard stool and that marvolous outhouse smell was the Eart Mother protection to her Earth Children.  The Revenuer would drive pass our house screaming god dam stinking Hybrid Choctaw they should be all in Oklahoma Reservation!  We were so happy those Revenuer were Ku Klux Klanmen, they pass us and arrest those Appapachian poor Scottish Irish redneck barely able to stratch a living from the hills several mountain over like us before ginseng & Marijuana become cash crop in modern time.

Yeah I was a Shitologist before it becomes a branch of study now, but in those day more than a half century ago it was a free fertilizer for ghe taking and urine were plentiful; we learn to brew with less offensive odor over the years and also producing ton of worms for bream & catfish fishing.  Of course we made real moonshine next to the pee shine.

Redneck Fertilizer for backyard Enthusiast!

Ingredient:  need a mailbox, three five gallon buckets!  A stirring stick and willing donor of amber Gold Lager.

Direction:  have donors pee pee into bucket daily or collection of liquid urine and fill a five gallon bucket with one gallon of this special amber gold lager and three gallon of water.  Put in buckets all the flyers, brochure, paper magazine you have received from your mail box into this bucket amd let it marinates in the Florida hot sun for a day, than stir but not shaken so the papers now have dissolved. Keep piling another week into it and feel free to add more amber gold lager freely donate by you or frienly neighboor. Championing your green zero emmission policy.  By adding lots of paper to Urine and water, the brew never develop strong odor of Urine Radiactivity that could invite backyard health inspectors.  I highly recommend brewing it in the shade if too much sun give it a moonshine odor attracting HOA NAZI!

After two weeks just aim at the trunk of your favorite fruit tree and dump on it, careful of the back splash that can get on your clothing.  Dont be afraid to mark this spot as holy with fresh amber lager to speed the decomposition of the complex cellulose molecules (wow that sound redneckity smart).  Three weeks just lift the pile and collect a bunch of fiesty worm for fishing.  These time release organics are the best slow release all natural freeze range no antiobic you can do your trees a loving favor!😄🌴

Guarantee Wife Approved for Good Housekeeping if you tell your wife this story.  Back than growing up in poverty and filfth, now that I am filthy rich Sith does that stop me from brewing real free good shit for my backyard, heck no!  Earth Mother will give me bounty if I continue to be a better steward of her land given!  My Jewish Brother in law said that I am the most frugal Jews he had ever known; smart enough to get free fertilizer from the USPostal Service delivery at no cost!  My Jewish Rabbi Ndighboor across the street were I donate a lot of my fruit, said that this fertilizer is Kosher for the Garden ( I slip him 500 bucks for the injunction)!😇🙏🏾😈😇😆💩

If it not breaking down fast enough, you can use a high pressure water nozzile aim at the pile, will quickly see the water gun will hit the aged paper and break it down so our worm will fresh multiply faster and our fruit trees eat better sooner.  Now dont eat the Florida Oyster Mushroom popping upon the compost paper!👻😆

I will try to post Italian Shit Meatball after the New Year for germinating seeds if you dont like Girrabilin Acid.  One shitty post is enough for 2015. ;D

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Macapuno coconut fruiting in Boca
« on: December 26, 2015, 05:50:35 PM »

Wow these guys are swelling up nicely. They got nice tits on them if you ask me!  Sorry for the POlitical correctness crowd it is call nipples.  The tree is flowering like crazy now thank to redneck fertilizer.  I am tempted to try it as a green coconut but I will wait when it turn brown in five months to taste.  I am going to used my fishfinder ball to see if the sonar penetrate the husk and tell me which nut will develop normally and which will be Macupuno early stage of its development so no guessing game!

My Pinoy Brother in law and his posse are encampments aready, had no Ideas it was that sacrilegious to Phillippino; their national fruit!  Now I understand why tropicaliste was sticking to my ass so tight on this one.  Cuban is crazy for their chirimoya (custard apple an soursop san fibre), Vietnamese the Chewy Sugar Apple , Fillipino their macupuno, Morrocan their mandirin, Hatian their beaucoup fibre Mango and etc.

Durianlover I am not going to explain the process other than we take the embryo out and put in a medium that has the enzyme for the embryo to start germinate and grow.  You see the original OEM macupuno (nut genetic lack the ability to digest and use its embryonic nutritional to grow normally so its program to fill up the nut with ammino acids Body builder would love to eat.  That is the simplest I Am going to get in this scope.

Choctaw is my Native tongue not tagalog.  Perhaps that Pinoy Tropicaliste can enlightened us by translating the paper you spoke off Rytis so the Rest of us can get a better understanding of methodology and practice develop in the Phillipine over the last several decades.  If Tropicaliste does this translation and sold out the only one good thing the Phillipine is only known for, I will be happy to share some plunder with this trader of nuts.

Now since I have the original True Macupuno Mutation tree which only produce 20/25 percent macupuno nuts and the rest normal sprouting; what I will do is rescue the first generation and put it out on the 2,500 acres in West Palm Beach to grow out. The center of the property ensure no other wind pollinated coconut can reach this cold strains and spiral white flies resistance and it is also Lethal yellows resistant why because the ten Panamanian tall planted in my yard by the Developers surcum to the disease which are carried by palm hopper living in your well manicured lawn you see prevalent in Florida were this OEM tree is kicking out fruit and right without any systematic used; au naturale.  I have noticed that coconut tree mix cropping with grass increase spiral whiteflies exponentially by the functionality of mowing it into lovely golf courses if you dont treated with systemic.  After these tissue culture trees bare grown out, we than rescued from the first generation and selective of trees that yield the greatest number of mutant nuts over regular normal nut. Of couse we will prime out the low bearing producing tree with the greatest nut yields so our friend Micah wont fall of his three foot step ladder and break his asses, I meant hips and sue me😅!  🌴🌴

Moreover the current drinking coconut grown with lots of undergrowth debris I have notice the tree doesnot have spiraling flies investation as another Honey Bear grown next to the HOA green belt claim.  I had to hand kill the bastard, so I been secretly planning low bushes slowly squating on the HOA land to get rid of the current mowed lawns flanking my arod  coconut.

So to sum it up Durianlover, each sucessful generation and algorithms will slowly mimic those stochastic walks done in the Phillipine; so yes we will eventually get an early bearing dwarfs coconut suitable for the American subtropic.  I will make a killing selling Luxery Mansion with dwarf macupuno yielding hopefully 100% to retire Pinoy in the US.  All ambition start with a dream and neglect of other reality but your own.

I dont pretend to to be the arbitator of all knowledge, I can only hope my randomly walk towards that goal will be achieve with the knowledge of other who has come before me.  So any trade secrets would be of greater help so I can achieved it in my lifetime.  Yes 14 years is ahell of a short time to develop this coconut , now the quick but trickiest part is to get the rescue to work so I have ask a new friend to assist my lack of skill in the matter.

Rumour is there are islands with self replicating macupuno off Thailand or Malaysia, I am a very good rescue certified diver, Perhaps Rytis you And I can frog in under the cover of darkness?🚤

Here is the last Whitman Fiberless of 2015 pick kind of green with twig on.  Can anyone name this Young fella, no  he is not me; not redneckitty enough and too Handsome for the Ladies!😆

I was thrill to finally meet the Siri Lanka Guy I had bought seeds in the past, I recall Dharma my Siri Lanka buddy from college has a darker tan than mine. Was a real shocker when he stumble out of his rental at my corporate office as I rush back from Home ( I had a couple European flown in to look at the Luxery Mansions we are building for them in Boca early morning and completely forgot to snip the green fruit off the tree) for our later meeting.

Yeah I was kinda disappointed he was not Siri Lankan, I had so much fun in college baptizing Dharma and converted him from Hindu to snake dancing and Great Grandpa Stinkin Horse's Brandy!  Our young man demeanor were amicable and dearm my callibrated guard; he reminded me of those fruitaddict kids Bob407 and Nullzero! He got a funny Siri Lankan accent but he said he is from the Baltic State of Lithuania so I try speaking my poor Russian in 30 years to him but it turn out he was too young to remember the Evil Empire; so we commence in the Language of the Pilgrim and not Choctaw!😸 He is a man that barely mince much words and I Suspect he work for the CIA out of Chicago..; so I don't  have to kill him after I show him my secret Boca Chewy Sugar Apple stash, but the rest of you I will!🤐

He look aphyxiated and jet lagged and he smells like he just came from the Swamp or wasvit me farting in my room.  I can see this young man is a dedicated fruit fanatic addict and I check his arms; thank God he is not shooting any rare acai fruit juice up his veins. All I saw  was stratch marks or perhaps Pirahna bites; and definitely not the bite marks you see US Secret Service agents get from Cathouses in the Colombian Amazon🙀(Our young man, he just came from the Peruvian Amazon). His intense focus solely on my seeds , it was kind of creepy, this guy is a serial seed collectors the authorities should be forewarned but you want him on your sides because he only selected the best and he is the transporter of fruit gems; so be grateful and paid whatever he ask for the seeds!

I offer him beverage as he gun and run to my favorite hell hole Excalibur; so I counsel him on how to shop there;  avoid Rob, Richard Wilson wife's at all costs they wont sell you the rare stuff in Richard VIP Collection; but Richard is quite the business man!  I gave our friend a snip hopefully he get some nice five fingers discount at Excalibur.😄

And yes you can fruit Whitman fiberless and my two years experiment has dislodged this 30 plus years notion that this Variety Selected by Mr. Bill Whitman is a perennial shy fruiter when in reality its a perennial fruiter of fine fruit most of the time.  And yes Durianlover originally you request half of a fruit for the seeds and I gave you the whole fruits knowing well the fall fruit are not the best; glad you reaffirmed last year observation with about the same time for this fall fruit slot!  I have so much faith in you to develop this in Siri Lanka, someday I will visit Dharma & Sohini and stop by your place to checkout your willughbeia breeding program!

For those of you having interest in growing whitman fiberless please reread this threads, I will have seeds available in 2016 now I know what work and some of you will be lucky to get a plant from my gaunlet so be patients. If you are impatient I suggested that you read some of my post on fruits I have bred and grown for the upscale markets. Its take patience, time, and a hell lots of luck to develop your own acclimate to your area, Whitman Fiberless need to be brought to the next level in 21st century!

But if you can't wait, I have a corporate office 20,000 square feet with .50 caliber bullet resistant glasses to protect your fruits and the back of building has security fence you can fit in 35 whitman fiberless trees, we have a vault you can fit a tracktor trailer of rare fruits in and 32 HD CCTV cameras you can watch your fruits  ripe from the comfort of your yacht in the Caspian Sea while dining on polluted beluga caviar.  Built like the Pentagon to protect against a zombies apocalypse but definitely not nuke proof-- only asking for a low 4mill!🤑

A picture said a thousand words I think I have squeezed enough blood out of this rock, Happy New Year to all and might your Whitman Fiberless Dream come true in 2016!,👍👍👍

Yes it is common here in Boca Raton, S. Florida; especially among the Everbearing Vietnamese chewy Varieties commonly found grown among the Vietnamese Community spread in the S.E. US; came here when Vietnamese War Brides brought here in the 60's and popularized by Vietnamese Immigrants later here in the US by the Saigon Era generation settle here after 1975, and acclimated to their zone.

Other with unpredictable variances are from Mexico like the Yucatan Variety that Adam has, and Bob407 in Puerto Rico mention flowering again at the old bomb range.  The Red Burmese and Noel Big Red Improve tend to bear twice but fruit second crop tend to be smaller. Here is Boca Chewy this morning (sorry Durianlover the zombie rodents stole all the ripe one when you came last week)😁😂:

[/url

Here's Adam's/Bob407 Yucatan flowering again for 2015 set no fruit, if it doesn't set fruit it will be cull from my breeding line; my hand is for other purposes like picking my nose and masturbation (hand pollination is just obsence)😆!

Lately my Firm Rollinia breeding program is giving some results, here is second fruiting of Rollinia selection XXXSnob for 2015.

Grow rollinia spiky sugar apple, they seem to be more cold tolerance and they seem to flower and fruit year round!  Water boar 🐗💦and🐖hogging💩 will increase fruit set and heavy flowering year round for me!  But your choice of dry Texas, Sugar Apple is fine for dryer environment.

A foto in your post will ad credence and encourage other in your hood to try growing them too!😄🌴

55
my impatience got the best of me, I picked the fruit today, slightly early.

It's definitely a Red jaboticaba seedling...just an unusually precocious, and profusely flowering one I suppose...so much for a chance of it being something else.

It makes sense that the seedlings are so variable from the red jaboticaba , being that it's a hybrid(some fruit about 3yr, some take about 5, and some seem to be more upright, while others are bushier).  The variations are just very subtle, and difficult for the untrained eye to perceive.

now I'm curious to see if the seeds will be true?  fruiting very early and small?  and flowering like crazy?

It is very nice Adam to see your evolution progress from a humble fruit collector into a master propagator, an educator and now a crowning achievement, a lifelong pursue as an outstanding future jabo breeder: might the dark force be with you!😆

56
Fantastic report on the fruitloop Jabo, keep us informed on future stabilization to this cultivar and any improvement made.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: guava experts needed for identification
« on: December 16, 2015, 11:13:32 PM »
Fruit flies free sweet guava with pineapples taste that is unheard of in my neck of the wood.  Your guava seem to be a good candidate for the local wine industry perhaps.  I know based upon your description it could be a good merit for making some good appalachian brandy or perhaps phenomenal Italian Gelato flavoring that is like my Italian Brother law's gelato he made for us from his brazilian guava.  Keep us updated on your future propagation success; you might have something valuable of commercial interest and we are not talking hobbie farm jam & jelly shenanigans.  How many kilograms per hectares do you think this sterile variety can produce per annum base upon your experience so far.  Insects and pest resistance outside of the hominids are very exciting, as far as plant diseases, what has been your experience with your tree surrounded by other guava varieties grown in proximity?  Maybe an embryo rescue here?🌴😃

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Tree Surgery
« on: December 14, 2015, 05:50:53 PM »
Adam you might want to try some "Redneck Science", Hell its had work for me for years as a plant ayurvedic medicine treating some of my strange plant ailments.  Awhile back my whitman fiberless got some tunneling by beetles and fungal infection on the  cambium.  I try all the Monsanto radiation toxic and made the tree worse (and my young neighbor bored a deform baby not sure if its tie to the toxic but definitely not me), and the infection spread faster.

We use moonshine to cure all skin ailments in Appalachia so naturally it dawn on me that alcohol is bacterium shit, penicillium is mold shit, and I recall my Choctaw Great Grandfather had a perculiar habit of crapping on his wild plum thicket orchard in Southern Arkansas, no disease ever kisses those plum trees. Man Great Grand Pa Stinking Horse's plum moon shine were some of the most sought after elixir of life south of the Mason-Dixie line, even the Klu Klux Klan exempt our Choctaw Great Grandpa side of a hill from an occasional cross burning dish out to the minority in the area to show the Frightened White men they are still in charge and not the Yankee Law.

So I went out to crap on my tree but the wife will have no part of my "appalachian redneck legacy," so to bring peace to this Kosher Jewish Neighborhood of Boca Raton and not risking another HOA love letter, I yes relief myself on the infected cambium (for you political correct folks offended, I yes urinated myself on the tree trunk).  So I urinated on my tree faithfully everyday but the Jewish Sabbath, dont want those binocular wielding grandmas in the retire hood to catch my offending back yard act over the seven feet concrete wall from the pinnacle of their luxurious appointed balcony.

Anyway to make this story a little shorter than it really had, I would recommend drinking a lot of coconut water or lots of beer; these beverage yield me the greatest liquid lager relief to the tree, in no time you should see decent results.  Add this to your backyard tree surgery PHD thesis and in no time they will award with you many academic acolytes but not at this politically correct site.

By the way dont post that fat squirrel no more, it is pain, torture and cruel unusual punishment and not pollitically correct for us redneck to suffer: we would prefer it stuff with a side of gravy and biscuit and not piss off the PETA (People Eating Tasty Animal{Acronym for Redneck}) crowd.

Happy Holiday Adam, I will be at the Tampa RV show in January so might stop by and drop off Boca Vividia Giant Suriname Cherry and a few other thing in your wish list that might survive my RV trip on the West Florida Redneck Riviera Hajj.  Hope you are in the country,  my counter sniper eyesight are not in the best limelight and if you are in a residential area, I might take out a few houses in your hood with my 40feet Allegro Diesel Bus on the visit to your Taj Mahal.  You think you have room in your parking lot hopefully its gravel, the manufacturer Tiffen said I cant park in your front lawn, cause it sink in 8 inches due to weight and will be stuck without a tractor trailer pull out? Well at least for the moment you will have the nicest Redneck Ornament gracing your front lawn!

59
Fantastic Glad to see you on this side of the world, how was the fishing Indiana Jones, grill piranhas are always delicious? Indefinitely could add the rollinia to my firm rollinia breeding collection, working on a chewy rollinia for Asia.  How long are you here in S. Florida? Pm send!🤑

60
Here is one of my seedlings from your fruit Jack ;D this is the leader of the pack with the others abit slower. All are growing in part shade.
Fastest growing annonas for me so far!

Do not grow Whitman fiberless seedlings in shade unless you're are immortal like me Stuart.  My one year seedling grown in full sun is at six feet: Seven feet concrete wall behind it to keep the zombies out in the coming apocalypse!👹 Gosh hope Zombies Apocalypse arrives soon, the thought of free deliver Amazon Prime dead corpse fertilizer walking into the hood is much better than waiting for my Slug pace pony express post office to deliver junk mails  are more appealing; my new trackpoint rifles should take care of even a few zombie squirrels hell bent on stealing my Whitman Fiberless fruit during most of  Humanity last  day but mine!👿💀🐿🐿🐿

I harvest a Whitman fiberless today and have to say this is the best fruit in the last two years of 60 plus fruits(seem this Whitman fiberless in my backyard is an everbearing, a crop every three months of even watering and monthly redneck organic fertilizer yield delicious almost no fiber & if there are fiber they melt in your mouth!

My wife said the whole fruit taste like mangosteen but much better (mangosteen is my wife favorite fruit we order by the cases from her grocery magnate friends when in season).  This fall was not as wet as last fall, so the mangosteen concentrate flavor were intense like the winter, spring and summer 2015 crops were we got the worst 60 years drought.  I think the dryer warm fall weather this year with warmer moist but less rain does its magic to this fruit ( but this f#%king weather have ruined my snakeheads and clown knife fishing😂😭😤😡! Course i have steady irrigation for them to overcome the drought.  They will not fruit in drought and will drop leaves and go decidous! The core of the fruit is tender crunchy nutty remind me of steam parsnip without the carroty flavor!

I want to thank the person who grafted a bunch of these Whitma Fiberless  six years ago or so and sold to a few lucky folks at the BRFC 208 tree sale!  I beleive whatever rootstock you used contributed to its precocious production compare to other Whitman fiberless Other have grown through the decades and unfruitful.
Today I was aesthetic to see flowering at the Whitman fiberless trunk in the grafting stock zone I believe; you can see residues of redneck fertilizer.  So if it turns out that the fruits are different than upstair Whitman, than we will propogate this rootstocks.  In two more years we will be closed to the first generation Boca Whitman Snob seedlings, and some of you who have been lucky to trade with me seeds or the actual seedling trees from my Choctaw Gauntlet (grow 100 seedlings, drown its roots a month in water, stick in friends walk in freezer for five hours and than drought not watering for a week-by than about 8-9 seedlings are left(congratulations you got a Nazi Eugenics Experiment in the making keep this Sith inform).  Others with seeds please grow them in full sun as soon as it is six inch and put it in ground at 12 inch full sun and abundant moisture and free fertilizer and you get a six feet tree in under 12 months: disclaimer your local weather and your laziness in fertilizing and squeezeing the green scale at the new terminal growth will determine how fast you will harvest its fruit!

Redneck fertilizer dump at base of Whitman Fiberless to give it abundantly slow release nutritional for everbearing year round fruit with biannual two half lbs of zinc sulphate supplements .  Ton of worm for bream fishing at base of the tree trunk after a week off new redneck fertilizer added(but if you like me I pile once a week depend how much junk mails, flyers, trade magazine, sotheby and neiman / sak arriving for the wifes(i fill out a dozen lady names) to compost).  If you have access to a cow pile or a bat cave or two consider your blessing!😄💩💩💩🌴🌴

And don't worry Luc as fast as the Cartel seized your seeds, one of the Whitman Fiberless seed packages will get to you before feliz Navidad 2015. I have suspended trading for everone else until you get it sprouting, that is how important you are to my Lucangosteen breeding program; everyone else stop pesting me for seeds. Whitman Fiberless have very few seeds for the fruit size compare to what is the norms out there. This three and four ponders have only 32 seeds of wich only two are the small strain seeds which grow five time faster than its fat seed siblings:My goals was a 1000 seeds production for my own breeding program to develop a self fruitful without zinc supplements or outhouses fertilizer but use Monsanto bomb making fertilizer so all city sleeker with a concrete jungle can fruit a Whitman Frankenstein Snob!👻😆 Why dont you support your local nursery by pre-ordering a whitman fiberless grafted tree or get Adam to graft Oscar scion a few if you don't want to wait for the Frankenstein Whitman Snob in a decade, and follow my unconventional approach to get the Whitman fiberless to fruit!!✈️🐣

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: My first no Latex Jackfruit cold strain
« on: October 18, 2015, 01:33:53 AM »
The cut fruit looks very much like many of the orange crispy low latex types here that are the best I have tried.

It better be Mike T, many of the prototype no name seedlings ship to Taiwan a decade & half or so ago is floating around for the better of a decade as strain for many breeder; I wish I could go back and get royalties from the Taiwan Fruit Mafias.  But hey a no name Chief on Wallstreet, who the hell would believe he is as good at breeding as his stock picking.  I had to overcome a lot of prejudice by the PHDs AG Scientist they hired in the region who resist my way of thinking and my puny Botany Degree/accounting/economic degree...no POst doctoral here; just poverty hunger and determination is my PHD!  Anyway they paid me year later with this for the multistem coconut and past due & collaboration on improve jack for canning and drying chip!  We make Jack Sexy ( were for years consider peasant food or pig folder in Asia)

Inside wood trim were made of jackfruit lumber harvest from my Royal Palm Estate I sold this summer to a mutual fund complex and the Taitung Annona Mafias were so thoughtful of giving me cream macupuno coconut color.  I am greatly appreciating the Taiwanese mafia for renumerating me in a generous personal way.  I am kind of disappointed they gave me the lowest end model! ( I want to trade it in this January for  diesel pusher tiffen or winnebego 50 footer and it only buy half a RV. 😩🚍A white macupuno cream lamboghini with jacfruit wood trim interior; they could stole my works and never renumerate me; I truly love these Billionares for their love in bringing only the best to the high end markets and overtime trickle down to everyone the genetics!  What good is it to create something like the orange snob line without a vertical distribution network omnipresent, nice these people own the fruit & food syndicates, just dont get them angry!😬 PS the Boca Orange Snob is actually red orange hue, my cheap ass iphone 4s suck but the 5s is not much better!  But who the hell care about the color!  Its very cold, drought and resistant to green and white scale, spiraling flies.  Fast to fruit and the big money maker here is the fine straight lumber for luxery car...and you can take that to the bank!

Thank God my shitty breeding works have not genetically polluted Africa, Pakistan, Ceylon, Burma and India yet; so I can busy collect untainted best of class Jacks for the Taitung Annona Mafias future Sith Breeders.   Mike T you are blessed that Aussie Farmers like Taitung Farmers are selecting top notch fruit, now they just need to find a few younger version of Sith Breeder to bring variance and continous improvement to be world class.  Here in America sadly the younger Sith breeders are into breeding Acalpuco Gold rather and smoking up their talents rather And we are left with a tarpit of carboard fruit!😄
I wish my zone was 12 so I can have all that, but than again I would not have the good fortune of zone pushing fruits no one want to or forget to improve!👍

62
Thank you I always enjoy your threads and as always the experiments are a feast for the eyes(I'm sure even more for the stomachs of those at hand!)
Taming the swamp apple is a big undertaking and the taste of your selection sounds awesome congrats!
Keep us posted on its development :)

Some will be coming your way Stuart, firm rollinia, Thunder Kite Annona Glabra I had planted all the seeds to re plow back into the stabilization and improve breeding; I will give you each class each year so you will develop your own to acclimate to SA climate. My annona senegalensis is doing well about two feet now and its heading into hibernation! In ten years I should have the first Junglesop fruiting this side of the atlantic but hopefully a good tasting variety, you are a young man you should improve junglesop!
Thank you Jack!
If all us backyard growers work together we can't help but get improved genetics as fast as even large operations could! The fruit world is very exciting and i will spend the rest of my life planting out and growing as many fruits from seed as possible!
My fiance plan to buy 21 hectares 100km north where it's more tropical and land is dirt cheap. Needless to say that land will be filled to the brim with trees if i have anything to say about it :D
South Africans are ripe for new flavours and i hope to be a part of bringing that to this country thanks to the help iv had from amazing generous sith breeders like yourself:)

Glad you starting a rare plant botanical plantation you can charge beaucoup bucks down the road. But please hope your pony express will be better to receive some Macupuno!  Work on being a Postal Master There so I can be your country number one seed terrorist! How is your Annona Senegalensis coming along? Landolphia collection is climbing a national forest!👻

Coconut Jack is LEGEND.
Congratulations!!!

That's awesome, I love coconuts. How is the taste of the Macapuno?

Simon

Stephen and Simon, fresh Macupuno is like Mana from Heaven! Ok I am not Jewish so I dont know what mana taste like, is but figuratively it sound good.  Thankfully you dont have to wander the desert for forty years to get it!  It is an iconic native of the Philippine and had mysteriously appear in the Mekong Delta as SAP coconut plantation crop and on isolate island plantation in Malaysia and Thailand.  Think of it as a thick coconut without water that is soft like a firm rollinia with an intense coconut attribute.  If you ever had fresh young green coconut it is a let down after you taste Macupuno.  Its a coconut in its own class,  where ever its grown, it command ten time the price of regular coconut.

A mutation from the Lacatan Coconut idigious to the Philippine.  The demand for it is greater than local production can supply so you have a better chance of tasting the Lochness monster than a Macupuno here in the US main land.  Although the stuff they sell as preserve macupuno at philipine groceries are often the counterfeit coconut jelly made from an unatural process.  Macupuno is known as the coconut ice cream fruit, I just add a little cane sugar, chill and serve; yhe best coconut ice crean on Planet Earth.  Like Cuban cigar it was ban from importation of live material during the coconut yellowing dieoff. So any surviving pre date this period became a bootlegg item on blackmarket.

Many had gone before and many specimen were lost to boredom and death of the ancient palm collector,   It tKe 7-14 years to set fruit; I have learn now the mistake I had made, next time no pronlem to get it to fruit i. Six to seven years!

Do you have this ssp. Coconut ? Larger and different flavor than the regular stipitata .

Strangely enough , just like you , I have problems fruiting the Sundrop - E. victoriana . 5 meters tall constantly flowering and no fruitset.

Luc I dont have this orange Araca Boi in my collection, that look more like a sun drop to me the deep orange flesh.  I would love to buy from you this Luc's araca boi orange flesh strain to add to my breeding.  My sundrop is 14 feet and a decade old and shaded but I  had recently cut down an atemoya. I planted two new sundrop seedlings hoping that three tree will x cross pollinate!  My sundrop flower four time a year from heavy watering & feeding but never set fruit like your too, so I am hoping three trees will increase fruit setting & I am going to dump zinc sulphate to see if it could induce fruit set like my Whitman Fiberless!  I got to keep a closer eyes on you Luc, I can not beleive I missed this rare Lucaraca Boi!😩👍

Stephen mine is triple that size and flowering already.  It was bred to flower in 18 months or two years to increase my breeding immortality.  You need to give it lot of redneck fertilizer, y'all mom is not taking care of it I can tell.  Nice to know it is doing well better than Bob407 in Puerto Rico keep telling me he keep trimmimg a foot off while grown in a pot.  I am glad some one decide to stick it in the ground finally.  Oh make sure to cut the fertile fruit or abort it until third year when it twenty feet than you can have as much fruit as you want wit its 8 inch diameter.  I am counting on you to spread it around.  I sold my Jackfruit plantation in Loxahatchee to a mutual fund complex this summer.  Exiting the real estate cause we are coming into a bubble and get the help out of the stock market, its bubble is waiting burst.  Next downturn I will buy it again or different area and start the cycle again.  I have develop what I think is a better Orange snob suitable for pot cultures; I am still waiting for the dam thing to flower after four years! It fruit is around five lbs, almost zero or no latex, sweet crunchy tart flavor with green scale resistant and handle cold like snob or better; ran out of room so stuck it in shade that is why slow growth but I recently saw a 4o foot red malay apple down and this Annamese pakistani cross is taking off! Its spiciness will win many hearts and mine!👍🏻 Thank You for not killing my research, Rare Fruit Seti Project!😄

The thai sugar apple and atemoya types just don't seem to have good rich flavour.
Firmer rollinia are better than soft ones that go to mucous very fast and have a short shelf life..The commercial ones here have firmer flesh to aid with transport and shelf life and they taste really good. The best of these locally is on one farmers property.

Thank God some one agree with me that the Thai annona suck! Only reason I grew PhetPakchong was it fruiting abundance in tropic lowland compare to other atemoyas I had grown over the years, when blacken ripe like photo below; sweet as hell like eating chewy sugar water, that is it! But phet pakchong sweet juiciness make tasty Moonshine ( Volka)!
Thank Mike T for the head up!  You have the coordinate of this farmer so I can ask a Grey Alien friend to abduct it at night in his flying saucer?😜
Wow that tree and fruit look totally different from mine, two different beasts, look like it has a very high water table were it is grown. Do you think you can get me some seeds for trade or sale? I can trade you with the Whitman fiberless from my improve breeding program (I have the Small seed and the large seed strain of Whitman Fiberless) or something else that can survive a trip to OZ?✈️

This has been the worst Sugar Apple season I can remember in four decades.  It seem all my plants knew a drought of a generation were coming or something and choose to flower and develop fruits three to four months behind which is horrible for my wife who love them beside migrating wildlife!  The northern blue jays and European starlings as well as fat transient snow squirrels ( I Thought I have kill all the bushy terrorist) have suddenly hit my back yard of biblical proportion.  I had to chainsaw the 35 foot Boca Snob Chewy down to an 8 feet stump. The pest were eating all the green starchy fruits and will be here for the next six months so my Sherman's scorch policy will wipe them out and hopefully buy me a few year of peace before the next population cycle down the road!😫🌋

First Generation are varieties after some 30 years of developing I feel good enough to go into a ten years stabilization or more so you get a close to seeding parent plant as possible progeny!  Feast with your Eye!

Black Diamond Snob Chewy Sugar Apple ( Pakistani deep purple x Boca Giant Chewy Parkland x Burmese Purple x Siri Lanka Purple) is twenty five years in development.  Small to medioum size fruit that look like S*%#! Immune to wasp, If I was a wasp I would not want to land on this dung asteroid that look like a coal chunk.  It is the sweetest of my Callahosa River Chewy Sugar Apple line!  Can only be market in the Far East in limited demographic!

Gizzard Shad Snob ( A Boca Chewy x to Orlando Chewy x Thai Purple x to Callahosa Chewy Purple x Burmese Gold Sugar apple:

Blush Snob ( Malaysian Red X Burmese gold x Boca Giant Snob chewy: got an apple mint flavor a favorite of every squirrels, best hunting tree for the Lazy Redneck!

Beige Snob (Boca Giant Chewy x Burmese Gold x Annam Chewy) taste like eating a fresh sugar cane when chill a popular fruit with the local Possum, Possum taste like pork after feeding on this variety.  Medium size with nice Beige color!

Orlando Orange Snob Crush (improve Orlando Chewy I develop & feature last year, being more fruit having orange kisses and this is the number one Early Season producer of the finest squirrel meat.  The green fruit is so starchy like potatoes, squirrel hit them in early spring. Fruit is the least sweetish and its my favorite!

Here is a collection of chewy Sugar apple in development, there is only one in this picture that is not a chewy Sugar apple, can you tell which one?

Many of you who have followed my ranting and have manage to squirrel away some of my prize stealth genetic selections for your breeding and enjoyment might callously consider those are the coup d'etat of this Sith Breeder backyard epoch glory.  You are all  foresaken my friends, stay in your outhouse for your universal disdain for the Humble Pond apple that has fatten many raccoon and brought so much nourishment joy to all Native American in the South East!(I am talking about the raccoon for those with pea brain appreciation for annona glabra).  For trolls looking to troll over a misunderstood and often blatant prejudice please move on to some other fruit thread, this fruit aint for you to comprehend amigo!  For those who has a fascination with this fruit beyound the grafting fetish; welcome superfans!

It has taken me nearly 2/3 of my life to hunt down, taste grow and select the Fable Humble Pond Apple guarantee to give a White Man the diahrea of his life and wash those with foul mouth with its soapiness!

It has started many years ago two young mercenary pups barely wean of the Shaman blessing and embow by the Great Spirit, one of the Proud Choctaw Nation and one of the Fierce Seminole Nation serving foreign governments in West and Equitorial Africa in the Fleuve Zone. Two Native sons fighting for freedom in a foreign land were we are treat as great warrior of high respect, ironically back home no better than the feral dogs commonly feather on the redskin nations;  40 years has squirrel past since my Seminole Brother Thunder Kite taught me how to gather the invasive anona glabra and annona senegalensis to make a shine so we can talk to the sky people and our ancestors in America while we were in the African Hot Zone of conflicts..

Well the liquor shine enable us to talk to our Great Spirit respectively and I have learn many magic that annona glabra can be had in Seminole Ayevedic.  My fascination with Annona Glabra and Annona Senegalensis started back than when Thunder Kite  told Swamp Lightning (my Choctaw name) that he used to enjoy the delicious pond apple in Florida his native home.  He told me how his ancestor escape the white soldiers into the Everglades and survive on pond apple and many other things as medecine.  It was misfortunate to be at his death bed, Thunder Kite took four bullets for the team, I promise I would spread his ash in the everglade were thick stands of annona glabra prevail and you can see the Kite flying free feasting on the apple snails during a Florida Thunderstorm summer.

In honor of Thunder Kite, this is the first Generation of Annona Glabra that will grow, thrive and fruit in upland as well as wetland and you can eat it out of hand.  It is the best tasting Ponnd apple rivaling any fruit out there if you are willing to oversee it three decades of selection which is a blink in time in a million years scale!

The ripe fruit remind me a blend of Mango pineapple passiofruit banana mix; intense flavor like the alpine strawberries, lot of flavor punch in a small package.

As you can see, there is more flesh on a brazilian thong than the skimpy flesh of this pond apple. You see the Black Diamond Chewy Sugar Apple has better flesh to seeds as compare to our upland pondle apple Thunder Kite; of course both are the first of their generation debut here to tease and feast your eyes. I think if I was to grow it in the wetland its flesh will be more and would be on the par with any commercial grown annona for fresh eating.  It was grown next to mine Firm Flesh Rollinia both were kind of neglected. I guess all Ugly Ducklings eventually turn into Swans!🐣 The fruit next to the Baracaboi Snob were bigger, than again the Araca boi average 3.5 inch with many common at 4 inch.

Thirty years to Honor Thunder Kite with his Seminole pond apple was worth it for my Big Brother!
A Superior A. montana might be next year to debut! It will be call Swamp Lightning can be grown in high water table or swamp!  The Great Spirit is with you!✨💫

Tropical Fruit Discussion / My First Firm Flesh Rollinia
« on: October 16, 2015, 02:08:46 PM »
After so many years looking for that ever elusive firm flesh Rollinia, I finally found it!

Yep that sickly five year old tree barely getting any water growing next to my upland pond apple I have develop for the better of two decades and a half reward me with a fruit that insure its progey will goes on to the Tawain Annona Mafias... New Palace in Manalapa, Florida.

It start about five years ago Buying of scambay a seedling from now defunct seller from Hawaii.  From the get go it grew poorly and had several die back, attack by every insects of Noah Ark or is it Monsanto Ark creation I have forget; my Alzhiemer kicking in so I will be short today!  I curse myself from buying off scambay; been bamboozled by the Dorgon beast with weed seeds and the Hawaiian were selling this Choctaw Brave with counterfeit rollinia seedling it tormented this old fart for the better half a decade but felt more like half a century.  I watch as Oscar, Berto, Noel, F&SP, Tradewind, Montososa Garden, etc seedlings shed and flush new leaves and thrive in my garden lush like a south beach model in a Brazilian bikini thong.  I was about to kill this scambay Hawaiian counterfeit on my return this summer and fill its void with Soren's super fruitful Aruscha Soursop seedlings and give my Pond Snob pond apple more sun for a larger flesh tasty fruit.

The tree had this fruit dangling hidden behind the overcast of a Burmese Red Sugar apple, its golden hue caught my attention through its green scale infest leaves and twig!  I scream to my wife,  Honey come quick, the ugly tree you hate have finally gave us fruits!  We harvest split it up and devour that in no time.  My wife favorite Desert is Key Lime pie and said it taste like lemon meringe or key lime pie but firm and just right amount of sweet kisses and salivating tartness like our Meyer Lemon.

Now its seem loaded with flowers but with thicker ugly leaves.

We had bumper crop of Phet Pakchong this year, three trees produce a wopping 142 lbs of great looking fruit but tasteless do in part to the early in the year drought and now they are pregnate with water and bearing late now. See the Thai Atemoya at fotos at bottom. Sadly I regret to cut all three phet pakchong trees down to replace it with the new discovered firm flesh rollinia.  Now this rollinia got the finest redneck fertilizer that the postal service can send & I have been drinking a lot of coconut to increase the peepee ratio for my brewing of the fertilizer.  The Rollinia now has thousand of flowers.  But where are the mealy bug and green scale on this tree the last five years?  I think my neglect because this ugly thing originally turn me off, could have produce sooner.  Now I know its a water hog and heavy feeder, with vigor & good health it seem to fight disease and best better and like a fine wagyu beef; I am still dumb found that it taste like key lime pie and seem to have a meyer lime taste and smell to the flesh.

I am going to cull my rollinia collection to make room and develop this firm flesh rollinia.  I have notice Berto and Oscar rollinia more drought resistance, so I will develope and Select a less water hog Rollinia with firm aroma flesh like this Scambay Rollinia.  I am going to see what it next fruit will be like before I firm up my rollinia culling.  Maybe the 60 years drought we had early could make the fruit firmer, so let be cautious and see.  I am still looking for all type of firm flesh rollinia to ad to my breeding.  The soft flesh rollinia although delicious didnot fire unami imagination like this firm rollinia I was luckily enough to gamble & purchase it on Ebay from Hawaii of all place!  Aloha Micah!🌴😄🌋

Folk this is my six crop on this aracoi boi for the year and the one in the ground is on its third crop!

And it keep flowering continous year round in the urn while the one in the ground does the same but fruit set is only half!

Urn:

In ground:

More from the urn:

In conclusion of the two dozen aracai boi cultivars collected over the decades, this everbearing aracoi boi bought from a 208 plant sale reject was my leprachaun potluck.  I will kill all twelve of the aracoi boi gotten from fruits from the Genetic Landfill of F&SP, they thrive in poor soil and make a no trim maintenance hedge but no fruit after over a decade.  The fruit tree in the ground from jesse blenne of Costa Rica a keeper, flower year round like the 208 but half the fruit crop but it is nematode proof.  The super productive 208 reject in the urn suffer when it was in the ground from nematodes.

I now named this 208 broward fruit sale reject super productive everbearing araca boi, Baracoi Snob!

Everbearing Araca Boi= Baraci and Snob for just being select and grown in Boca Raton.
Off the 200 seedlings grown in ground field trial, only 30 made it.  Some seeds pop up quickly other have not rot but slowly develpoing root in the sand, this variety is not resistant to nematodes, best grown in rich soils free or miminal nematode population; better yet pot culture, feed heavily with organic and water.  Love rusty tomatoes can and redneck fertilizer.

I hope to develope Baracaboi snob into a strain that can thrive in sandy nematodes soil and everbearing productive as the one grown in the urns.  I notice that Araca boi, at least the self pollinating varieties I have need lots of rich organic and frequent generous feeding and fertilizer produce abundant while chemical fertilizer like miracle grow I had used produce lots of leaves, occasional flowers with very little fruit set!  So try growing your araca boi in a 50 gallon pot or greater, the nice thing about Araca boi, at least the variety I have will fruit on trunk, leaves tip, branch and seem self trimming or it grow slow enough, i had not trim my trees in a decade still under ten feet.  They must be full sun to set fruits and a lot of them; I have learn the hard way!!!😃

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Macapuno coconut fruiting in Boca
« on: October 16, 2015, 11:06:29 AM »
I was gone most of the summer and was surprised to see my favorite food squirrels left some developing nuts on the tree.

As you can see the Macupuno is a massive tree next to the Arod Pandan coconut and they are a decade and three years old!

The Pandan coconut were strip of any flowering to insure no hybrid!  Hopefully the embryo will be send to a lab in NY for embryo rescue!  Luckily the nuts have not gotten large enough to be blown to my hated neighboor and destroy all of his roof.  Hopefully the ancient turd have a heart attack soon so this old fart can have some peace! The turd claimed ants from my macupuno were invading his home!  My other two neighboors that border this ancient turds to the right flank and back told me they dump herbicide on his noxious tree while this old fart and the ancient turds were gone during the summer!

I met a fella in New York who is the CSO of a fortune 100 company and he has a private greenhouse rivaling DARPA; so I will entrust him with embryo rescue and tissue culture this cold resistant and some what spiral white flies resistant too for future superfans.  This Macupuno leaves are bigger than my Boca Giant Dwarf with average leaf 25 feet span; explain why the grumby alzhiemer turd next door having a fit the tree blocking out his nude bathing in the back yard, what a coprolite💩 bastard!  I was hoping the massive leave would drop on the the fossilite turd! Oops sorry about derailing the topic, my senior ranting moment.  If success a massive macupuno coconut with better than 75% yield could appear on the US mainland and destroy neighboors' roof you dont like for all seasons and occasions! 🙏🏾😄🌴

74
I was gone for most of the summer and had chop ten feet of my 25 feet tree before Hurricane active season. Today I saw the fall crop develping nicely. Here is the Largest fruit.

Here is another fruit hunging very low

The rain starting to come nicely so the tree is in full flush of greenery and flowering again for the winter crop.  Hopefully to much rain doesnot deter its superior flavor and texture like the mangosteen like flavor during our spring & summer when we almost on track for a 60 years drought!  This is two years in a row of everbearing blitz for my climate and it seem to flower and set fruits heavily when I give it a lot of redneck fertilizer and zinc sulphate.  Dump the zinc sulphate and redneck fertilizer right under the trunk not three feet or the exterior root zone commonly written by so many idiots out there; urban myth. This fruit is now my wife favorite, we stop ordering her favorite fruit mangosteen by the crate for fresh eating.😄
