Nice trees Ed!  When you are back in the Melbourne/Merritt Island area this summer, be sure and stop by Ensey's Mangos and sample their fruit.  You will love it!

Is That i Fruit Stand/Truck In A Parking Lot ? If so i stopped by there and sampled some mangos .
If thats not the location , i will go , i will be working this area all week & Next Week.

Thank You !

No, they aren't selling out of a truck in a parking lot.  They have a very nice grove and fruit on their place on Merritt Island.  South Tropical Trail

I am looking for a copy of the "Proceedings of The Florida Mango Forum for 1954", that year seems to be missing from my library.  Any ideas where a copy might be found?

Wow!  Especially like the way that Duncan is looking.  How old a tree?

Nice support for tree.  Keep an eye on the green tape, they tend to constrict trunk if left on too long.  My CC looks like it needs water all the time, sounds like this is normal pattern.

Don't give up!  I would recommend at least a 3 point support system for bracing any wind prone tree like this.

Your fruit trees will be needing irrigation, so you might as well address an irrigation system while the land is still barren.  Much easier to layout prior to planting.

How about mulch, will keep down weeds and wont need to mow.  Might just get you by until ready to plant your trees.

That heart shaped fruit reminds me of a 'young' mango.  They have a very similar shape.

Thanks for the suggestions!  I will try the let rot method and use shears.  I have been trying to open while too fresh.

Thanks, I will try rinsing better, just find the turp husk very hard.  Like shucking and oyster.  Maybe I should use one of those wire mesh gloves because I usually end up impaling myself.

I am looking for a safe and quick way of getting the seed out of those very hard turpentine husks.  I can get most other varieties out easily, but these turpentine's end up making me hurt myself  :(

Any weevils, beetles or grasshoppers visible on the lemon or neighboring vegetation?

Mango looks a little dry to me, might need to increase watering frequency. Been very windy and low humidity in Florida lately. Also check under leaves for scale, etc.  Not sure about lemon tree.

Bonide Iron Drench, has all your minors, applied as a soil drench, along with osmocote granules should perk it right up.

121
Yea, and a pinch of osmocote will help as well.

Look under leaves, aphids, scale?

If I remember correctly, the trees are about $5 cheaper at the sale than at Excalibur.
yes, that is true but read between the lines of what you just posted...

What, that he remembers correctly? :o

Plant an Edward for very tasty.   Plant a Duncan for heavier crop, more disease resistance and won't dwarf the house, and taste good.
