I wanted to know if anyone has germinated Curculigo latifolia seeds before? 

I found this online in quotes: 

Previous studies on germination rate
of C. latifolia seeds showed that seeds were unable to germinate
on jiffy bags or germinating trays and blotter papers.

I wanted to try germinating them on blotter papers since they are small seeds and easy to lose in spaghum moss but I am not sure now if it will work.

Hey I was wondering if any members on this forum live in Australia and can trade or sell me some seeds of Hylandia dockrillii /Fontainea picrosperma? 

I know the plant is toxic and should never be used in the raw form but I want to grow it mainly to preserve the species outside of its native range. 

Let me know if you can find seeds or know of a local Australian nursery that sells seeds internationally.

There is one temperate fruit plant that is comparable to Acai in terms of anti-oxidants and is worth growing but only if you live in a cold temperate climate. 

It won't survive long term in a subtropical climate like Florida because it requires a certain number of chilling hours. 

Aronia melanocarpa (Black Chokeberry) should be grown by anyone that lives in the Southeastern USA excluding all of Florida, most of Louisiana, coastal areas like the Gulf and Carolinas. 

 It's best to check your USDA zone.

I don't know of anyone else that sells this rare plant.

I am looking for a Curculigo latifolia plant.  I have given up on trying to germinate the seeds. Does anyone here have the plants for sale or know of a place that sells them?

I have 1 seed germinating now.  I think its been less than 30 days since I planted them.  I read this online scientific journal paper and it said 45 days and more. 

I am wondering if anyone has ever germinated Curculigo latifolia (Lemba) seeds? 

I read online the seed has a low germination rate but I was thinking maybe if its fresh its much higher. 

I soaked my old seeds in water and some sank while the others floated.  I am going to plant both in separate pots and compare the results. 

I was wondering if anyone else has germinated Borojoa patinoi seeds before? 

I think warm temps might help them germinate faster but isn't necessary for germination. 

Germination is fairly easy.

The problem I have with them is after germination the seedcoat is stubborn and won't shed right away.

 I don't know how long it will take for them to shed it without help.  I could use a safety pin and carefully remove the seedcoat but I would rather let them do it themselves if possible. 

I just don't know how long it will take. 

I've encountered this with two other species; Tabernaemontana orientalis, and Tabernanthe iboga of the closely related Apocynaceae Family.
