Monkeyfish.... Your all for local's only & want a special link for only local's & want members to put where their country of origin is, but on your profile its just  " south of the river " Where in the world is that location ?????

This new variety has been around for a few years... back yard growers will never see it..... I am led to believe that the owners want royalties for each fruit sold.... therefore limiting scionwood to only commercial growers........  The Queensland government also has a really dark pink skin variety that is ready for release but again will only be available to commercial ventures....... It would appear that the Coochie Island Atemoya is the variety named Island Gem that originated on the island of Coochie mudlo island in Brisbane moreton bay...... Why do nurseries need to give plants new names ???????              Mike

Druss.... Australian Customs won't allow Mango seeds into OZ unless the embryo seed is removed from the seed husk..... If not seed will be destroyed..... The embryo seed should just be placed in a moist paper towel & put in a plastic zip lock bag....... Also have Mangifera Indica put on the package.... This will help them pass through........ Mike

How many days did it take to get through that amazing list ??????

Har... You are exactly right...... In OZ you can get some old mango varieties re scionwood from Walkamin but with Atemoya varieties which the Govt. employees have got from all over the world in trips on the tax payers account will not look at providing any of this scion wood..... Mike

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Cherimoya seeds floating
« on: June 18, 2017, 07:51:14 AM »
Leave for 24 hours... if still floating place in bin...... Are the seeds brown or black..... If brown Cherimoya was picked too early.... Best time to pick is when they change their appearance... They usually go lighter...... Mike

25
Mike T .... Thanks for sharing this story of another great disaster made by Governments...... It really is a waste.... Just from your list of Mango varieties I can see that Walkamin didn't get all the varieties to its establishment........Mike
