Here at least, Biriba (Rollinia deliciosa/mucosa) fruits twice a year.  If the winter crop is exposed to a lot of cold and considerable defoliation of the tree, the fruit probably  won't be fit to eat--- bitter and slimy.

Summer fruits are normally delicious.

in my area so with anonna muricata, winter fruit fails to ripen

Hola Terejiguete,

Here's a vid where Rollinia/Biribá is successfully used as a rootstock for Soursop/Graviola...So, If Biribá is compatible with Graviola. It's well worth a try to graft Biribá onto Graviola ;)

hello felipe

I like to test. I try different annonáceas. the first test will be with a. muricata, because I have quite a few seedlings, and I can have the choice because I have an adult tree of a. muricata.

hello

oscar, look this article:

http://www.montosogardens.com/rollinia_mucosa.htm

Montoso collaborated on the book "arboles frutales exoticos y poco conocidos en puerto rico" and mentioned in this article, annnona montana rootstocks of rollinia mucosa.

the picture of article is like rollinia deliciosa.

the viability of the seed can be very variable in this species also.

thanks ASaffron for the reply

the question is, I have two rollinias from seeds, and is very nices. I want to take some side shoots for grafting in other Annonaceae.

i have got a lot of seedlings a. muricata, only prove with one.

i read in book "arboles frutales exoticos y poco conocidos en puerto rico" annona glabra is compatible and reduces the height of the tree.

sorry for my English

Great job keeping everything so healthy up in CANADA.

I'm not sure your seed grown tree is a Cherimoya?  :-\

Yeah, wrong shaped leaves to be cherimoya. But what is it? May be bullock's heart (A. reticulata).

looks like rollinia
