Did it bear fruits? how do they taste? How if compared to P.edulis? Somewhere I read that also P.caroluea are edible, i tried, but  I spit them....they had a terrible acid and bitter flavour

354
Is it as frost-hard as Psidium cattleianum ? -10°C is a very low temperature...

355
Good photos, thank for sharing them :)

Cold Hardy Citrus / Re: Cold hardiness of various citrus
« on: July 30, 2015, 08:37:11 AM »
Interesting !! The problem with many new Poncirus-hybrid is that the plant can withstand 10F, but the fruit doesn't ripe in time and is damaged in early winter.....are there cold-hardy citrus (Hybrid or not) whose fruits are also cold-hardy or they ripe early in fall?

359
Sorry.... ;D

I thought it was hardier than Satsuma...at least as Poncirus t. hybrids

364
Right, but if it has only Satsuma inside the greenhouse she could save energy setting lower temperture :) !!
As I know Satsuma it's the most cold-hardy edible citrus (Hybrids apart)

365
I'd like to know something about Coccoloba uvifera....how does it taste? i read it can be eaten...is it worth? I saw it only in tropical region...can it thrive also in not tropical frost-free area?
 :)

The fruit is half or less in Size compared to grafted plant fruits ?! But it's fantastic to see Asimina grow wild....is it common or rare to see it wild in United States?

http://ilgustodellanatura-blog.blogspot.it/2014/11/nespolo-comune-o-di-germania-mespilus.html

It's very cold-hard tree...I think it could survive even in USDA 5 or less

369
34 F is not cold even for a Lemon....I guess Satsuma colder temperature... :)

Personally I noticed tha Avocado suffers the full sun in the summer.....and also other tropical plants. In my opinion half day of shadow can only be a good thing.
