We have another cold front coming in on Sunday (I believe) where my area will hit the mid 40s. Since you're north of me, it might get cooler in your area. My train of thought is that these dead/damaged limbs will protect whats alive if anything. I'd wait after this last cold front come in. I know its unsightly. My banana core where new leaves emerge is green so there is hope it will continue where it left off. Some of my mango trees leaves looked like tanned colored poinsettias. Leave em untouched. When warmer weather comes you'll see whats alive with new growth and can remove from there.

Grumichima. Sweeter but smaller and a short crop season. Barbados Cherry can really produce. Better pulp to seed ratio but not as sweet as Grumichima. Get em both.

Lake Placid in Highlands county. We has a little frost about 2-3 weeks ago. Only some discoloration on my young sapodilla leaves. This morning however, my Raja Puri banana pup (3ft tall) looks like a goner. Young coconuts (1gal) not looking too good either. Fronds are brown-er. Seeing some frost damage on some of the lower mango tree leaves. Jackfruit trees not looking to bad neither. I didn't bother to venture too deep into my yard to fully assess the damage as I didnt want to lose too much sleep over it. After the next 2-3 more nights of this very cold weather then I'll fully assess. Brought in all of my seedlings and cold sensitive plants yesterday. Thank God I did. Mulberries did well.

A bunch of my young newly planted trees in 9B are flowering. Orange Essence, Phoenix, Himsagar, Buxton Spice, ZIC, Dwarf Hawaiian etc. Even a Coconut Cream. In 10B Ice Cream is enroute for another spectacular bloom and equally disappointing fruit set. Both Julies are blooming too. Dot was the first to flower with fruit set already.

I'm growing all but Possum Gold, Fwang Tung, and that one chance seedling near a Chinese restaurant that was being promoted whose cv name I forget a.t.m. .
In any case, Bell is the sweetest I've tasted- even green.

  I hope that bat was not hurt in the making of that video. The dog seemed to get a lil bit over excited there towards the end.
