Lucia Kawasaki, of the Field Museum of Natural History, has identified “dwarf mulchi” (“mulchi enano”) from Ecuador  as Plinia salticola.

it is dioecious.   dont know if it is felipe's one nose

  the round type is a different variety or type, called “palora” here in ecuador.   i understand that in europe they dont import the standard more angular variety, only the palora.

seeds of felipe osborne’s plants were from me.   its a local sp from nw ecuador at around 1500 m., tho it does well here at 500.  unidentified sp as far as i know, i call it g. sp “LC”   good sized tasty fruits, variable all the way from quite acid to sweet.

im a newbie, but ive already sent several PM’s successfully.  but now when i try to do so, no “picture” appears with letters for me to type.   clicking on “Listen to the letters”  or “Request another image.”  does not work.   logging out and back in does not work.   can anyone help?
