I tried looking for farfield but can't find it. members talk about commercial line too so I was wondering if this is the right one? I found it at a shop in South el Monte for 30 bucks out the door about 10bucks cheaper then other place I have scoped. 3.8cuft yoo

1st batch of seeds no good 2nd batch was from fresh fruit.....they sprouted but seems to be stuck at this stage.....its been 3 months like this.....i water once a week to keep the mix moist and keep it in  shade.  it's in half gallon milk carton.  I gave it a bit of fish/seaweed to try to give it a kick but still nothing.  A total of 5 cartons with 3 seeds in each and every single one of them is doing this

how does it work? when are you suppose to pay royalities? when you sell and use the name of the trademark/patent fruit or sell the trees?

for example if I sell a sweetheart lychees airlayered tree and use the name do I have to pay royalties? how about when I sell sweetheart fruits  by it's name.  Of course this is for commercial retail and just not from my backyard haha just wishful thinking just want to know the legalities if one of these day it happens :)

my understanding is that calcium sulfate has neutral ph where as sulfur would lower it.  if I'm already using calcium sulfate can I still use sulfur to lower my ph? I just afraid of sulfur overdose.  if I can appply at same time or wait a couple weeks apart?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / when to move jaboticaba and cherimoya seedlings to full sun?

1ST time planting seedlings and had pretty good results.  They started sprouting about 2weeks ago.  They were in full shade.  I just moved it to partial shade.  How long do I keep them there and when should I move them to full sun?  Also I planted them in half gallon milk cartons when should I up pot and what size pot next?  1 gallon or 3?

only have 1 space for an avocado tree and I love reed but I want to prolong my avocado season a bit?  I love the way reed taste and I like that they aren't too vigorous I like sir prize too but heard it's extremely vigorous.   Thanks for the input in advance

grafted and airlayered trees always flowers and wants to bare fruit before they could actually sustain the energy to do it.  So for trees like mangos and lychees what is considered a good size tree to let it bare fruit? I hear some people go by trunk and canopy size others says two years in the ground....how about the size of the tree you start out with matter does that matter 3gallon 7 gallon 15gallon etc.   It be awesome if the guys with experience chime in for our favorites...like always thanks in advance

went to Asian supermarket and saw this for 2.99lb.  1st one I ate wasn't that sweet equivalent to what I had from the irvine tasting.   the fruit was semi firm but gave a Lil to the touch.  The 2nd one was totally different super sweet  and alot better quality.   The clerk said this was from Mexico.   The average sizenetti was the size of a baseball. Honey Hart? guessing because some of them was shape of a heart.   Also I wanted to germinate the seeds what's the best way? Is all cherimoya seeds are made the same? :) thanks ahead of time

my parents backyard Neighbor doesn't want anymore.  The tree is probably 10years old has a trunk about 10inches in girth.  It stand probably 15ft high.  Good idea to take it? if it is here is my game plan prune branches all the way down.  dig 3ft in each direction cut roots and haul.   or can I just top the sucker? any input much appreciated

Tropical Fruit Discussion / should I or shouldn't I top this Mauritius Lychee tree

I bought this lychee tree during late fall of 2016 and put it in ground almost right away.   I pruned away all the cross branchings and dead branches when I got it.  It's now stands about 3 and half ft tall almost four feet.  the girth of the tree is about 1.5 inches and 2inches at the biggest node.   Current main branches is all weird and leaning to the left.  I didn't notice this until I took away the support stick.   So my question is should I top it down to the node which is about a foot and half up the ground where you can see a bit of new growth or should I let it be and let it do its thing?  I don't want this tree to be over 15ft in the future.

I do coffee grind, egg shells, and old tea leaves.  I'm a big loose tea drinker.  I save all my used tea leaves and do one big pot at the end of the month.  Plants and trees would radiant and get all perky the next day the same way after I give it fish/seaweed.

I tried to airlayer my sweetheart on July 30th of this year.  I opened up the foil and saw this.  the white thing feels hard.  Bark callous? Good or bad? what it is? Another question any I'll effect on a young tree host when you airlayer it?

I have browsed the Web and our forums on this topic but failed to find anything.  I know Simon has extensive experience with double stone grafting but how about airlayered trees such as lychee or longan. At a glance it adding a tap root to a tree that is lacking one.   I know at least one member on this forum who had tried it but his tree is pretty young.  If you done or have any knowledge please chime in if you actually saw faster growth? more fruits?

here is a Lil description on Psm. If you like green mangoes, you will love this one! As with many Thai mangoes, this variety must be eaten green to fully enjoy its unique apple-like qualities. It has a crunchy, crisp texture with a pleasantly tart taste. Pick when the fruit are full-sized and green, before they ripen. For the truly different taste, try the fruit with salt and Cayenne pepper.
 It's pretty vigorous. Grafted on a la verne manila stock.  It just finished it's 2nd flush as pictured.

I have hit up a couple of the farmers market in long beach and downtown garden grove, but haven't had any luck.  Anybody has any suggestions?  Hoping to sample some so I have a better idea to see what to plant
