I'm getting two 30gallon redwood planters for a pickering mango tree and emperor lychee.   So do you guys treat it with waterproofing stain or anything?  I also would like to put a coat of copper mix liquid in the inside to prevent root bounding.   If I leave it raw I think the would would just suck up the copper rendering it useless.  So any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

I found a nusery that sells kent seedlings for the same price as the manila at HD, but the kent's are a better size and health.   Thinking about grafting Maha Chanok and lemon zest.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
