Nice finds,
How did you find the giant mulberry, taste wise ?

Nice one Mike,
How's the taste ?

4
Mike,
What height & age did your juicy pearl first successfully fruit ? Same as dpi gold ?

5
Yep, it does have a big seed, and a very thin layer of flesh around it. Personally it has a musk flavour with a seedy aftertaste.

Tastes like a sweet sweet carrot, easy to grow & propagate more for next time. Always eat it after a day or two, but take care not to damage when removing from soil.

Had only hard ones in my experience , rolling pulp in mouth , spitting out the seeds.

Love the taste, pain that it's full of seeds.

If my mulberries are an indication, finished fruiting, should be a good time for getting cuttings, hope you get a fair few.

Can anyone comment on the taste of the giant, standard & dwarf types and flesh percentage ?

11
Salak gula pasir and salak bali added
Thought the season for gula pasir & bali was Dec/Jan ?

12

Looking because of the fruit or for esthetic reasons ? Fruit is small and of poorer quality than other Inga.

Would be interested as to the taste and the flesh/seed ratio.

How's the bee situation at your place ?

15
Unfortunately we don't get near the chill hours needed for regular cherry varieties to fruit.
Nanking is a low chill variety.

Anyone in australia on the forum growing these?

Got some seeds of the mayongchid  from Bangkok a month ago, have 4 sprouted so far.

May next year bring you many more, how old is the tree ?

It's worth a try , but I doubt you'll get the desired results.
Here in Aust, you need to bag the fruit.
Neem will do nothing, either before or after being stung.

I'm surprised there's no one that has this one on this forum. Must be extremely rare.

21
What varieties do you have ?

Same here, nothing better than picking ripe fruit and eating it on the spot.

Fair few varieties grown there, was lucky to be there last year at harvest time, ate more than I should have.
They are south of Alice Springs.

How would you rate it in relation to the better ones around ?

If you keep it on the tree as long as possible, pick it when it looks a shiny black, it might be a messy feed but its flavourful and sweet.

But hey, I dislike durians & jackfruit.
