A friend of mine is bringing some seedlings from Paraguay. I read the fruit is relatet to quenepa. Melicoccus lepidopetalus. But I never tryed the fruit. Does anybody tryed. Can you compare with quenepa. Thanks.

I only was able to taste L.  platypus and it s more like avocado not sweet. Luc If u have a chance find what variety is sweet. I read there is one variety L . Rametosa that grows in Brazil _ oiti used as fruit .

My favorite is Butia eriosophata.or something similar. It grows naturally in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I .checked with the guy who sell drums and he sells the white ones  now for 20. It seems there is a high demand. Few months ago it was only 10. He sells also the red ones for olives with lids for 30.

I bought a lot of them..Each one $ 10. They are strong and huge. Cheap for the size. So far I only have one breadfruit in those pots. But I am using them as wall in low greenhouse

I put many G. humilis at the bottom of the container I put descomposed leaves my surprise today when transplanting to bigger pot to find that red rubbery  thing I guess is a mushroom. Not clue what is that. Any idea?

I reccomend you butia eriosphata. I love thst friit. I don t have no seed, no seedlings, no tree. It grows in Rio de Janeiro

I got hundred of fruits from the tree. I planted thewhole fruit with fresh fleshnand I couldn t get not even a single seedling.
