I feel your pain! Friday afternoon my car said 104F (no wind, with a bit of humidity thrown in). I proceeded to go swimming with the kids. Saturday was 100F, humid, sprinklers going, and no wind--->Hell basically. I had ordered some rhizomes of eBay and had to pot them in the garage Saturday afternoon...Looked liked I jumped in the pool after 20 mins. Nuts. Today it poured rain in the evening and now it feels like Singapore in my backyard. Chris

Thats funny. I gave a couple of 'Carries' to an Indian colleague and she hasn't stopped raving about them since last year. To each their own (I like them...Shh). Chris

I thought the sugar apples in Little Saigon were 'fresh' No? (maybe 'post-wash') 'Seemed like it. I have had fresh ones in Vietnam that were similar. Chris

That smooth Rollinia should be a benchmark! We shall see. My Rollinia is producing fruit for the first time- about ping-pong ball size (1 fruit) currently. Good luck! Can't wait to see your review. Best regards, Chris

Hi Alex, do you have any seeds left for P. Phitrantha-Jabuticaba Rosa de Pescoço? Will I run into problems getting them out of the country? I know Brazil is a tough place to send out plant material/seeds. Thanks for your time. Chris

Spaugh, sounds like you might have fire ants. Argentine and imported fire ants are in fact different. Argentine ants are small, black, and non-stinging, while the fire ants are small, dark in color with a reddish head. They sting, causing inflammation and blisters. I stepped in a fire ant mound in South Carolina once...ONCE! I dove into an alligator infested lake to get them off of me. Still wound up hating life for a week. Good luck. Chris

Just curious as to why you put all the seeds in 1 pot? It seems to me this would not be the best method if you plan on moving them individually to their own pot once they get some size since you will have to cut their root systems to separate them? If you're afraid of transplant shock- starting them off in their own individual pot would be a step in the right direction. My 2 cents. Good luck! Chris

I believe I ordered my 0-0-50 from Southern Ag? I also ordered chelated iron and micros as well. Its nice when you can have things delivered. Chris

I would like to graft the "sweet" variety of Santol onto my existing "?sour" type. Is that feasible? My tree is 7ft or so and lots of branches. Thanks, Chris

P.s Not to mention sexes of trees! I might be hosed entirely.
