You are not going to grow atemoya in water like that on any rootstock. I graft  a lot of atemoya and have put them on. sugar apple ,atemoya, cherimoya and reticulata. If someone has a picture of one growing in water .I would like to see it

8
Why do you want to put atemoya on pond apple

KC you live in Lake Worth there are avocados everywhere. The bees will pollinate your tree. If you want another tree just get one that like. Dont worry about A or B

I have done about all that can be done to get ready for the storm winds. We are about to get. The rain is what we are worried about now. 10 inches will flood my fields. We have moved almost everything up to high ground and laid it over. I about lost it when we thought we were going to get 150 mph winds.  Now my friend on Pine Inland is facing this. Good luck

The graft would not be under ground.

Yes , but atemoya takes the cold better than guanabana. So grafting it would make it less cold hardy.

This is Walter Zill he is showing how to top work old trees. He is a expert  at grafting trees. I am like you I try to match up the rootstock and budwood as close as I can.

20
How many seeds do you need

What do you think of cherimoya here in florida. Is it  easy to grow or does it not just do well here

We are in Florida not Australia or California. They may do better there but not here.

Dom are you grafting them on cherimoya. Steve from fruitscape  puts them on sugar apple and his plants grow nice and fast. Zill puts them on sugar apple. Last time I talked with Adam he was not happy with cherimoya. I am small grower I have only grafted a few hundred. As I said I like to put atemoya on atemoya but I will put them on sugar apple

 Dom
What do you call dwarfing 15 to 20 feet that is how big they will get on sugar apple.
