Did you try the p. campechiana and p. lucuma at a ripe stage? Not sure what variety of p. campechiana you had but I found another a good use for p. campechiana for those that don't like to eat it out of hand - blend some of the flesh with coconut milk, vanilla ice cream and a pinch of cinnamon. This beverage alone makes p. campechiana worth growing
