I thought of papaya, I planted some in my parents house and they were super easy. I just have to find the non barfy ones and that could work!

Thanks guys! I will leave that row alone! I know they should be large trees but I will try to keep at 12ft.
I have other sides of the house I need to populate and I will come back with pics and questions!
Thanks again  :)

I have a relatively large backyard, however, I had to compromise in what zones I can plant. This is the north side, I have a russell avocado (so far slow grower) in the middle a Kent mango and then an Alano sapodilla.  They get very good amount of sun in the afternoon (pics in am).  Can I get away with planting something in between these trees in the same row? Should I just let them be? I was thinking of star fruit or another avocado. How about two coconut palms?

Thanks for the advice!

Lycheeluva & Adam, based on the what most of you guys guessed is a Brewster. I inherited the tree with the house.  Sometime ago I posted pics of the fruits in GW and you guys pointed to Brewster.  I pruned the bleep out of it and it grew a LOT again, if it blooms which I doubt I will take pics.

Oscar, thanks for the advice! That's what I did wrong, I tried one in the shade. I will try this again in spring, but to find one in the sun I might need a big ladder!

I tried to air layer my lychee... First time trying this ever, and I failed miserably :( Reading that lychee is the easiest I feel like a bigger failure LOL!
Is there a best time of year to try this? I tried last year after harvest, I used regular HD soil and some peat u put in orchids... Yea I know I'm way over my head! But I ain't giving up, I'm gonna try to clone my beast again.
Thanks!

So murahilin, I bought mines in pine island and Lara nursery, I have no idea what they are. Can I safely assume they are m cauliflora? Would a picture help or that will be too difficult with jaboticabas?
Also Adam thank you for the pruning tips. I pruned one of the two, and will likely prune the other one when I plant it inground.

Hi there! Nice purchase, I tried one jaboticaba right off the tree and fell in love with the fruit and the tree.  Last year I bought 3, after reading a bit, I placed the container inside a water bucket, one of the buckets broke I forgot to water for about a week and she was a goner. The other two seem to love this bucket. I wonder if others have experience with how to water them. I will transplant mine inground this spring.

Hello!  :)
I posted just a few times on the other site.  I am in the Miami area but my taste for the tropicals developed in my native PR.  I don't have that many trees in my collection, and I am here following the Gurus who graciously gave me advice on my previous questions.  I currently have a large, very large lychee which most of you id as Brewster, bananas (unk variety), mangoes: Pickering (2), Glenn, fairchild, NDM 4, Carrie, florigon, kent and another one bought as lancetilla but I am not sure now if the lancetilla died and now is the unk rootstock (subject for another post), Valencia orange, key lime, avocado russel & simonds, sapodilla alano, jaboticaba (2 unk variety), Sugar apple (unk) and papaya, oh and a half dead pineapple.
Most my trees are still young, and I am still learning!
Looking forward to your input and help with all my plants.
Mara
