Bought some sionwood from Frank and grafted them on my 4 year old Mr.Minh atemoya. Out of 3 pieces got 2, which is not bad. One graft is also being air- layered, do not know if it work.

Yes, i use those pots for most of my new grafts, first year, maybe the next year before repotting. I bought those pots on e/bay several years ago. I believe i bought 2 dozens. I love them. I have several grafts started as you can see in another picture.

Hope to live long enough to see for them to come to fruitation. My venture in citrus growing started a little late in life, long story.

Millet, sions are doing good. The cuttings you send me are growing already. I made 4 grafts and they are all growing about 2 inches tall and one really took-off,4 inches.

Big tree, little pot not good, possible root problem. When going to a bigger pot do not fertilize yet, just water with a p/h of about 6 or 6.5. Keep in shade.

Millet, you seems to have the source for a lot of citrus varieties. You got to have a vary interesting set-up. For me to learn about citrus was a trip in it self.I am getting better now i know how to feed them.
The little tree's in the top picture were grafted in March, from there i think they are good to go. Millet if you have a couple sticks extra,i be more than happy and would gladly reimburse you. Bob, thanks.

I found out it is an Italian feminello lemon variety that is popular with making limoncello. They are currently out of stock at Four Winds in CA.
Thanks, Citradia i am just looking for sionwood because i have a lot of rootstock growing now that i like to use for grafting.

the sionwood that is affected would not successfully take and kill the tree. There is not much written about this variety, i just remember an article about it some time ago that sound interesting.

I am trying to obtain sionwood of this variety for my grafting collection. I like grafting my own tree's more satisfying than buying tree's especially now with this Greening problem. I do not have a large collection of tree's.

Countryboy, do you have any experience with red lime variety? Here in Arkansas you don't see citrus or tropical tree's. My best bet is sionwood.
Hardly any chance for that.

Back in March i grafted several dekopon sions on Flying Dragon stocks 6 of thems. They did't do anything for a long time but stayed green. A week ago they start growing now i have 3 survivors, one had a flower which i rubbed of.
These sions were very small like an 1/8" thick.
