I went there today and don't see these fruits anymore.

Hi, ronald123,

Is that fruit called M-1 in your photo, a sugar apple?

JF on this forum might offer the Big Red sugar apple scions this year end of Feb, early March.

Thank you Oscar and Lindsay.

I have never tasted a Durian, from what I have read the smell may be
off putting but after watching this video talk, I am getting myself ready
to buy a frozen one at local Asian market.

I did see few mature mango trees at Exotica but I won't say they are thriving.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Rauls's illama (annona diversifolia) seeds
« on: November 16, 2017, 05:55:00 PM »
My Illama seed from JF germinated after I did not water the foam cup for about a month.
This might have simulated dry season dormancy.Once I started watering it again it sprouted.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Has anyone in here ever grafted guava ?
« on: November 05, 2017, 09:31:21 PM »
My first (and only) attempt so far at cleft grafting Mexican creame
onto Variegated guava was failure.

I have good success rates at Annona and Mango grafting.

Mine is growing well, has big broad leaves, bought as 3 gallon tree, but tree is from florida (mostly on turpentine root stock), so remains to be seen how it does here in SoCal in future.

My understanding is that the mango trees at Exotica are from Florida.

Thanks, for sharing! Its a good read.

Learned that sugar apple pollen works great for Arka Sahan.
On the forum somewhere there was mention that the Dream atemoya in Florida is actually arka sahan.
If this is true, this is good information for anyone growing Dream/Arka Sahan.

Nice!
Looks like more than one variety in photo.

My variegated guava (honeymoon) is holding few fruits.

Whether it will be sweet tart or not depends if the new growth is above the graft or below, you can always graft later if the new growth is from root stock.
