Sunny, That can be very rude to not have questions answered . People can be rude from anywhere in the world. The rudest individual who never answers my questions is in California. This does not have anything to do with splitting the forum.

He did not answer my good question but only reply that he don't ship outside usa. So us riff raff from outside usa are not allowed to ask question.

And you are my rudest person to call all non-americans the riff raff on public INTERNATIONAL tropical fruit forum, you even no live in tropics.

53
Sorry that you took me to mean that I can't send seeds to countries out of the USA to people as "riff raff" Mexico is 15 minutes from my house and I can have one of my friends mail the seeds to someone in Mexico usually without any problems anytime. The reason I don't usually send seeds out of USA is the packages may not make it to their final destination. Another reason is if they get to the country they get destroyed. I sent some pepper seeds to my friend in Fiji and the Ag department confiscated the seeds.

Mark

Udon is in Thailand where my tree's are and i work in Bangkok with many americans around, i will tell them to call me riff raff from now on because i don't live in the USA. And even if it's hard to send seeds overseas there is no reason to call all non-americans a riff raff!

I know you didn't call me that but you also would not answer my good question and only say that you don't ship outside usa...i even did not want to buy and only know the real latin name because pitomba can be 2 different tree's with same looking fruit.

Don't worry, i will not buy seeds from any american and even not speak to them in Bangkok...thank you.

54
No doubt, No doubt. Finger always points over there, not right here.
This idea may not be gaining traction because it could be filed in the not necessary or particularly useful file. If a seller does not answer a question that is not already obvious or described in the post like location, freshness of material etc. that's a warning sign to buy from someone else. Most of the seller's here build up a good reputation, or not and are blown out of the water rather quickly.

Monkeyfish.... Your all for local's only & want a special link for only local's & want members to put where their country of origin is, but on your profile its just  " south of the river " Where in the world is that location ?????

I hope the idea tracks like a tank but i am just a riff raff who asked a vendor (who didn't use the latin name for his seeds) what the latin name was..pitomba for example is Talisia esculenta but can also be eugenia luschnatiania, that's why i asked and i didn't even want to buy his seeds since i have a big pitombatree myself.
I think it's very rude to not answer a good question because the questioner is not american....please split the forum asap.

It works both ways, though i think folks might go ballistic if your Luc's Garcinia seed sales were limited to Mexico only.
It's probably just to shoo away riff faff and does not apply to friends & family.
I'm glad i read this though, Im going to try grafting Luc's on Imbe , that makes a lot of sense for speeding up growth.

Hey Mark , been very occupied and only noticed your post today ...then I noticed ' USA only ' ...I respect that , no problem ...If it was somebody else I'd be pissed and sue for discrimination ....LOL......
So...since I can't get your seeds that produce in 3 some years can you give me some advise ? I have one struggling tree , lots of die back , full sun , probably close to 10 years old , flowered a couple of times , no fruit set , regular watered ....did better when it was still in a large planter . WTF am I doing wrong ? Hope to hear from you my friend . BTW great tip on grafting Luc's to Imbe  .

So i am the riff raff when i only ask if this is luschnatiania which i grow for many  year....my tree did not fruit but i will give seeds for free if i have it.

The big green jujube we call Taiwan jujube...Indian one is small.

I like the chinese jujube the most, very nice sweet and crispy but not so juicy as the taiwan. Thai jujube is also not nice compared to china.

There are many many Thai fruit videos, almost anything and everyone has a cell phone but no one can show a white Jackfruit being opened. Maybe there is a reason why? If you really had such a thing, wouldn't you advertise by video?

You think our farmers can make video and have camera for that? And you think this new jackfruit can fruit in 3 month??

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Ilamas on my trees and seeds sprouting
« on: February 04, 2018, 08:04:41 AM »
Ilamas with strongly coloured flesh if crossed to orange or red skinned sugar apples might produce impressive offspring. The flesh is certainly eye catching and the juice that come out is really red as well.

I like strawberry flavour , here strawberry is not sweet.

If you eat much of this will you pee also be red like red dragonfruit do?

We have big sugarapple but no red one like this, looks so nice.

One of my ilamas which has vibrant coloured flesh is better than the others. The taste is infused with a rich strawberry flavour.I suspect it is the genuine red genova.

That is  best red one i have ever seen, very nice color!
