I'm not giving up on it...just yet i sure it will pull out of it.... the guy i got it from said his done the same thing
and to keep it in the growth stage and not to let flower and it should pull through fine by spring time

keeping it in the growth stage might be hard to do unless i bring it inside and keep it out of the
cooler weather and under grow Lights or just keep it outside and keep giving it fertilizer should keep
it in the growth stage.... We shell see what happens

Soon as fall hit and the weather started to change temps getting cooler the cheese pine pineapple plant of mine started to turn pale yellow still has alot of green to the leaves I would guess it doesn't like the cool weather all my other variety of pineapple plants don't seem to mind the cooler temps

That should work fine only thing is you will have to add your own slow release fertilizer to the mix

the only thing in the potting mix at the time is Listed below. so thats why i said about adding some Slow release fertilizer

Brix reading for bottom on pineapple 17% and top of pineapple 15% pineapple was really sweet tasteing

Ahhhhh, the old Miracid.  Interesting as the N source is mostly urea and is completely ammonical based.  K source is potassium chloride so it doesn't mind chloride apparently.  Many of my pineapples are way too yellow.  I'll try it.  Do you water in the cup and how much per gallon?

i mix 1 tsp. per gallon and i feed them in the cups.... and i give each pineapple plant 1 cup

What's the NPK and brand?  That probably mimics the acidic volcanic soil series.  Hawaiian pros recommend a high N low P food with plenty of iron broadcast over the plants with large spray booms.

it's called Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron Plant Food its 30-10-10. I learned to start using it from Jude in hawaii the one who grows the kauai white sugarloaf pineapple..... so far since i been using it my plants have been doing great and getting huge like Jude said they would so they would be able to support bigger pineapples.....

Yeah i got a funny feeling they will flower soon now that the temps are dropping it needs to be around the 50's for a pineapple plant  to flower
so we shell see in the next month or so if it does flower

I like it better than the one that pulls the whole fruit, slices a continuous circle top to bottom.  No two pineapples are the same so if small in diameter you'll pick up some of the peel.  If a large diameter you'll leaves some meat behind.

the corer you listed seems like it would be better used with a queen pineapple cause there small already doesn't seem it would work to
good with a bigger pineapple the corer was meant for small things like apples be nice if they had a longer one

Let it go gold top to bottom. It's about ready.  I've planted many a store bought "twistee" and they were excellent and tend to bear within 18 mos. of planting.  I have clones and by comparision they are a big disappointment.

Really to me the photo of it doesn't do it justice cause if you were to look at it in real life its much bigger not sure why taken photos make them look smaller than they really are... I'm not going to grow it again cause i need room for my other rare hard to find pineapple plants i grow so i'm making space for them

I sometimes let my pineapple offsets root in a 1 gallon pot than move them to a 7 gallon pot
and other times i will just let the offset root in the 7 gallon pot so i don't have to trans plant
it again.... a pineapple plant will grow fine in a 3 to 7 gallon pot.

Post photos when you get yours planted be sure to Mulch it to help keep weeds away
and helps to keep the soil moist so you don't have to water as much... i cant remember
where did you get your queen pineapple from ?

if your plant has rooted already you should plant it into a bigger pot. let it grow :)

Hi i use something called All Seasons Horticultural Oil Spray. works great you can use it all year round
just don't use it in the day time when  its hot out best to use early in the morning or late evening

What kind of soil and fertilizer are you using on those things?  They're huge!


I use Pro-Mix potting soil. and i start my pineapple plants off with a slow release like Osmocote for the root system than once a month i use Miracle-Gro Water Soluble Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron Plant Food for acid loving plants works great little gose's along ways

my white sugarloaf are getting huge too Thanks to Jude from hawaii for giving me the tip on using Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Azalea, Camellia, Rhododendron Plant Food for acid loving plants.... she said the bigger the plant the bigger the pineapple will get so far she is right about the plants getting huge

if you want more later down the road and once i get some offsets to offer forsale i will keep everyone updated

I know its hard to believe that its cheese Pine pineapple plant the guy i get my samples from
has been growing pineapple plants around 30 years now he was one of the lucky ones
to get lots of different samples of GermPlasm pineapple varieties back when the USDA
were offing samples. He started off with 30 Different types and now is down to only 6
Varieties that he likes best
