Hello. I am curious. Did you grow and fruit Albertia Patinoi aka Borojo in Argentina? How easy is it to grow outside it's native climate range?
Cheers.

Hi, no no, I sow many of them yesterday because I received fresh seeds from a friend at Ecuador. I am selling the rest of them. I think this species would be fine just in the tropics. But I will try to keep them warm into my house by the winter (as I do with biribá, guanabana, jackfruit and others).

Interested in arranging a purchase. I can't see an option to inbox you. Can you send me a PM please.

Alibertia patinoi, commonly known as borojó, is a small (2-5m), dioecious tropical rainforest tree. It is one of the few of the Rubiaceae family that has edible fruit. It grows in the northwest area of Colombia in the Chocó Department and in the Esmeraldas Province of Ecuador, in areas of high humidity and temperature.

Hi Luc. I've heard this type of Araca Boi is a bit sweeter than the standard one.

Have you tried both the normal and the ssp Sororia Araca Boi? How would you compare the two?

Also Sweet madrono, G. macrophylla, G. portoricensis (puerto rican mangosteen), jorco/jocomico (different from intermedia/lemon drop), G. magnifolia, G. acuminata (charichuelo), G. aristata (cuban mangosteen), G. gardneriana, Madrono de monte and other unnamed american garcinia species.

Nice list! How would you describe the Cuban and Puerto Rican Mangosteens? and the Jorco/jocomico? I've never heard of them  :D

How's the cold tolerance with Garcinia Prainiana? I'm guessing it can stand slightly colder temps than G.  Mangostana.

Hi guys

Most of us here are familiar with the more famous Garcinias such as G. Mangostana, Lucs Garcinia, G. Humilis, G Dulcis, Russels' Sweet etc.

What are some of the lesser known high quality Garcinias that are sweet enough to eat out of hand without needing Miracle Berries?  :o

Any Garcinia Gurus out there?
