Messages - green thumps up

Pages: [1] 2 3
i just used fish and kelp emulsion and sugar. I believe some of the leaves are slowly turning back green.

Does anyone know if foliar feeding causes discoloration of leaves? If so, why?

my 2 cents is that it's not related to the foliar spray at all....i would be concerned about possible iron-deficiency chlorosis caused by alkaline soil conditions.

though that might be a bit strong of a solution (2 oz total per gallon).

I thought about that too (soil pH). I dont believe wax jambu and atemoya are pH sensitive plants so they can tolerate in the 7 to 7.5 level, correct.

Possibly a Magnesium or Iron Deficiency.

neither. i didn't add any soap or oil just molasses and emulsion in water.

I recently foliar fed my wax jambu and atemoya plants thru the leaves with 1oz unsulfured grandma brand molasses and 1oz of fish and kelp emulsion in a gallon of water.  These plants are in pots.

After 2 weeks, some of the leaves are turning yellow with green veins. From the leaves, it looks like a chlorosis of magnesium. Is it deficient in magnesium or iron?

Anyone with similar experiences? How do i correct this?

My young wax jambu dropped 75% of the leaves this past Winter, and new baby leaves are very slow to grow, compared to in the past. So, how much watering do you give your tree? I don't want to miss current season's bloom...

My green wax jambu also dropped 90% of the leaves. When the new sprout leaves popped out a week later they get dried and became dead. Did a scratch test, front side of the trunk is black while the back side cambium layer is still green.

This is dieback? I cut it down the trunk and no new growth. I think its dead.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / wax jambu in san diego?
« on: December 27, 2017, 03:51:30 PM »
Still new to growing wax jambu. Is it normal for wax jambu tree to lose its leaves in the winter in San Diego? Leaves turned brown before falling off.

My green jambu tree (4 feet height) in the ground in its first winter.

It's gotten cold (26 to 33 F) in San Diego so far.
