Tropical Fruit Discussion / Flacourtia Indica Spacing
« on: October 08, 2019, 01:36:31 PM »
Hey I will be planting a grafted flacourtia indica today. Anyone have recommendations on spacing?

Only about a year old and already flowering! It said online it's supposed to take 3-5 years to fruit.

I got a bunch of Cola Lepidota seeds from Cameroon, like 50 seeds. I dont have in ground space yet for all of them so instead of them going to waste I'll sell them on here.

Photos of the fruit are not mine, just showing them so you know what they look like. I'll upload photos of my seeds tomorrow. Most are already starting to sprout so buy ASAP

Selling for $5 each, 10 for $45.

Anyone growing this species or more information on it? Specifically size and spacing.

I have 1 large plant I acquired from Macabucha Farm that needs to go in ground today because it grew through a pot, and was stuck in ground and then dug out, and it's too big for any pots I have.

Attached photo of fruit.

I have exactly 51 seeds of this available. Taste better than cacao to me, much sweeter and sometimes more flesh depending on cultivar. If I eat a bunch of cacao my tongue hurts but I havent had an issue with this. Very small trees and i have only seen them single trunked with fruits covering them.

Selling for $5 a seed, 5 seeds $20, 10 seeds $45.

The photos of the fruit on the tree are a different species. The other 3 photos are of the actual fruits these seeds came from.  So they have a lot of flesh and seeds for most 3 small fruits.

Making a specific thread for these since I think some people may miss it in my other sales thread and I think many people would want these. Fruits and seeds are from a farm on the west coast of Puerto Rico, I have around 400+ seeds. International shipping cost will vary depending on location, quantity of seeds, and the shipping service wanted.

I have about 250ish seeds lemondrop mangosteen seeds.

These seem to be a larger fruited variety and also very sweet, were comparable to achachairu I had with them. However after having 20+ fruit my tongue burned ;D.

Looking to buy any grafted/airlayered garcinias or artocarpus. Already have grafted lemondrop mangosteen and lucs garcinia but not against getting more.

Really looking for grafted/airlayered artocarpus like pedali, marang, chempedak, keledang, etc.

Looking for grafted/airlayered garcinias like garcinia livingstonei, garcinia hombriana, garcinia praiana, garcinia indica etc.

Have access to hundreds of quenepas fruits maybe thousands of quenepa fruits. These are the best variety available within a few towns I harvest fruits from. I do not ship or even harvest the small fruit, large seed, little flesh, and sour/astringent fruits.

I have been selling and shipping the fresh fruits in these amounts:

$45 for 5 pounds of quenepas free priority shipping(EXPRESS 1-2 DAY SHIPPING AVAILABLE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, COST VARIES ON LOCATION)
$75 for 10 pounds of quenepas free priority shipping. (EXPRESS 1-2 DAY SHIPPING AVAILABLE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, COST VARIES ON LOCATION)

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Cola Nut Species
« on: July 21, 2019, 09:36:20 PM »
Is anyone growing any cola nuts besides the common Cola Nitidia and cola acuminata?

I am growing cola pachycarpa, cola cauliflora, cola ficifolia, cola lepidota, Cola lateritia, Cola laurifolia, cola subbostifolia, cola chlamydantha, and many more.

I'm interested in anyone else's experiences whose grown these, anymore information on growth habit, and anyone's whose tried the fruits. I was told by someone in Cameroon that the fresh pods at least of cola lepidota can be stored for weeks or even months so they might have some large scale potential.

Anyone growing either of these species? I have 1 large pouteria maco and about 7 large pouteria pilosa plants. Any suggestions on spacing?

Selling fresh quenepa seeds. These are from a very good sweet and larger variety here. Its probably the 2nd best. It's just not as large as the best one here.

$2 a seed + shipping or 10 seeds for $15 free shipping in the US. International varies.

Hey just looking to buy Jaboticaba that are really big, or they can be smaller and close to fruiting/fruiting.

If you have any other large tropical plants I'd probably be interested as well.

Need to be able to ship to Puerto Rico or Connecticut
