I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently purchased some Matoa/Fijian Longan (Pometia pinnata) seeds from "Nengzie".  They were a combination of Green and Red Matoa Fruit seeds.  They arrived approximately 1 week after they were shipped, and arrived in excellent condition.  They were extremely clean without any remnants of any fruit flesh, and were also very Fresh. 

I purchased 20 seeds but received a total of 21 seeds.  As of today, 19 of the 21 seeds have germinated and are approximately 1" inch tall above the soil level.  I think a huge part of my success in germinating these seeds was that they were cleaned extremely well before they were shipped; they were absolutely immaculate.  In my experience with these seeds, they have a very high tendency to Rot if any flesh is left on the seed.

I know that there is a high interest in Matoa/Fijian Longans right now, but there has also been problems with Members receiving fresh seeds, as well as success in germination.  Therefore, I just wanted to let everyone know that I purchased some seeds from "Nengzie", that were extremely fresh, super clean, and had a very high rate of Germination.

I have a couple of Rollinia trees; the first being about 10' feet tall in the pot, and the 2nd being about 12' feet tall in the pot.  Luckily for me, they are both flowering this season and will hopefully set and hold fruit as well.  They are both pretty big and could both easily hold a large amount of fruit.

Here are a couple pictures of my Fruiting "Sabara" Jaboticaba.  It is in a 45 gallon pot and is really doing Great!  In the Pot, it is about 8' - 8.5' feet tall and about 6' feet wide.   It has fruited before but this is the first time I would consider this as a "crop"  I counted approximately 80 fruit, and even at that seems extremely sparse with room for tons more fruit so I am extremely excited about the prospect of all the fruit when it comes into full production.

I recently tasted my first "Coconut Cream" Mango.  My Coconut Cream Mango tree only gave me one mango this year and it was knocked off the tree prematurely so I was fearful that it wouldn't ripen up correctly or would even be edible.  So after about a week on the kitchen counter I was ready to cut into the Mango.  Upon cutting the Mango open, there wasn't a very strong aroma but there was a beautiful deep orange color.  I love to see this color when I cut open a Mango.  Like I said, the Mango was knocked off my tree prematurely and may have produced a much stronger aroma had it been picked at the proper time.  As for the taste, it was absolute perfection.  I love anything Coconut flavored and this Mango tasted so much like Coconut.  I couldn't believe how strong the Coconut flavor was  in this Mango.  It was also completely Fiberless and super Creamy; it felt as though it left a Buttery sensation that coated the inside of my mouth (No Complaints here). There was no chalkiness, woodiness, or even scant fiber. Zill's truly created a Masterpiece.

It was the best Mango I have ever tasted and I am sure that this was not even a "Coconut Cream" Mango at its best.  I am so looking forward to tasting a fully grown and properly ripened Coconut Cream Mango.

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone please help Identify this plant.  The Mature fruit look just like Rainforest Plums (Eugenia candolleana), inside and out with the same looking seeds as well.  Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the mature fruit as it will probably be 1-2 more weeks before they finish ripening.  The mature fruit are the same color and shape as the Rainforest Plum and are fairly sweet with a single seed like that of a Bing Cherry.  Any guesses?

Hello Friends,

Here are the 1st Mangos of the season for me.  These are from my Alphonso tree.  If these hang on, these will be the first Alphonso Mangos that I have tasted.  Hopefully, my climate and growing conditions will make for better mangos than those growing Alphonsos in Florida.  Right now, I count approximately 50-60 mangos growing.  I would be happy if just a few made it to maturity.
