My kids favorite Durian atm🧡

A durian species with less strong taste, smell and less creamy flesh than the regular zibethinus. The flesh is thick and it has a fruitful aroma and smell. When they let it ripen on the tree the flesh is softer and more aromatic.

Taste like honey and nectar, very exotic and jackfruity. The texture is a cross between cempedak and jackfruit. Less fibrous than cempedak, more juicy and melting than jackfruit. The fruit was 7 kg with big fleshy pods.

Mesmerising orange yellow rainbow color, big fat juicy pods. The taste is very sweet, honey and nectar, with a bit of bubble gum ;) The texture is less fibrous than cempedak, and softer than jackfruit... epic. The fruits weigh 6-8 kg, with a lot of edible fibers between the pods.

Compared to the other graveloens varieties we tasted this one was bigger (about 750g) more pods, more taste, and more sticky flesh. Hence our naming “graveolens plus”, judging by the size we thought it may be some kind of hybrid, but after tasting it we can say it was more graveolens than anything we tasted before...

Retained the fresh sweetness overload of an oxleyanus, while inheriting the creaminess and fleshiness of a zibethinus. Being very sweet and very creamy soft this is a very special hybrid durian that may win the hearts of those who are not yet into durian, and still amazes those who are more experienced. To make it even more perfect, the fruit is odorless: it has a mild sweet smell. We had the luck to find two of these beauties, one had for sections like an ox. and one had 5 like most zib. the weight was 1.5kg per fruit.  We harvested an average of 14 pods per fruit, each pod had more flesh then seed.

The pods of the fruit are juicy and very sweet with vanilla taste, they melt in the mouth. It is more sweet and has less pungent aroma and smell than tarap/marang. The protrusions on the skin are very short, and the fruit is smaller compared to its more common cousin (less than 1kg). This is our favorite fruit from the artocarpus family so far. Our first investigation led us to think this fruit is called Pingan locally and known as A. sarawakensis. After more research it seems A.sarawakensis has smaller fruits than ours. If you know more about the fruit please contact us.

The skin of this jungle fruit is yellowish orange, and its hairy like a rambutan. When ripe its very easy to press and open it. Inside it is similar to a tarap/marang, without the characteristic odour of it. The taste is sweet vanilla, with a hint of cucumber aftertaste. The pods are soft, juicy and melting in your mouth.

It seems to be either Mangifera foetida, Mangifera pajang or a hybrid of the two. The locals refer to it as Bawang. The fruit is Tart and sweet. Sourness depends on ripeness and can be quite mild. The main reason to eat these mangoes though is the spiciness. Its like eating Mango with herbs and pepper. The flesh is very fibrous and juicy. The skin is thick and should not be eaten because it causes rashes. To us this fruit smells and tastes heavenly. The seeds are more than 100 grams, and monoembrionic.

Borneo has mostly kampung durians (not cultivated varieties) this one was sweet and bitter reminding us to marzipan. The flesh was soft creamy with delicate wrinkles. We experienced a numbing sensation when enjoying this durian.
