Too much fertilizer can cause the burnt leaf tips...better irrigate often to leach out the excess N.

Take into consideration, the manure is quite high in nitrogen and must fully decomposed before use. Horse manure on the other hand also has a high content of N, but also sodium.

In general, Myrtaceae like Eugenia, Plinia and Psidium love red soils(high iron content), just like the soils they are native too(Brazil...etc).

Hi all,

Does durian survive on very hot climate such as the Middle East? I've got relatives in Dubai, they easily get papayas provided they water them sufficiently.

Humidity is an important factor for a durian tree to grow healthy...I don't think they would do well in the Middle East.

Very cool! Looks like my P. viridis seedlings. In case that you don't like the fruit too much, you could use it as rootstock for othe pouterias ;)

Hi Felipe,

This one should be compatable with other Pouteria species. :)

124
Still got fresh seeds available, if anyone fancies some. :)
