I have some young trees in the ground less than a year that I am planning on tip pruning "to make their canopies dense"
They are now starting to put out mixed blooms. If I prune a few inches below the mixed panicle will they try to rebloom or flush vegetative growth? Thanks

As of today
Fairchild-pushing fourth bloom, first was in early November only one panicle
Nam doc mai #4-pushing a mixed bloom
Coconut cream-looks like a mixed bloom,first time flowering
Cogshall-dormant? Flowered like crazy last year but I removed all baby fruits
Mallika-buds swelling,neighbors is blooming
Sweet tart-swollen buds
Cotton candy-dormant
Lemon zest-pushing 2nd bloom. First riddled with powdery mildew.
Lemon meringue-dormant
Choc anon-pushing 2nd bloom
Carrie,ice cream,cac and fruit punch bloomed in February.
Pickering is still sleeping
Lil gem flushed growth in march

I don't believe orange sherbet is available although rumors say its in the works. Coconut cream and sweet tart are top tier. Lemon zest is plagued with problems in Florida and Zills is no longer propagating it

I wish it wasn't so dark id take a picture. The branches died back to sub branches not all the way to the trunk. I guess ill prune off the dieback and water more frequently as it has been bone dry here. The cold could also be a factor as it dropped to around 37 in February which completely defoliated my soursop. Thanks for your help.

I know Keitt is farmed commercially in California but have not heard about any of the others.

Out of those varieties Carrie is my favorite. I'm in florida though. I personally consider the others mediocre at best. Valencia pride is an extremely vigorous tree. Carrie is delicious if picked at the right time with a lot of flavor depth similar to some fine Indian mangos

Hi I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. All of my rollinia branches have died back after pruning. I sterilize my pruners with rubbing alcohol and have never had a problem with any other tree before. I was wondering if this is common or if there is a special technique involved. Thanks
