Cochin is a city in Kerala state of India,now it is Kochi. The jackfruit cultivar Cochin might have originated from a cultivar of jack fruit  from Kerala.I have not heard such cultivar in India. There are many cultivars of jack fruit throughout India,which are not known outside India.I have seen ,small jackfruits,may be 2 lbs or so,in hundreds hanging from the branches of thr tree.I have seen very large fruits.

This  year Pomsi(Machilus edulis/Persea fructifera) tree did not fruit mostly.
One or two trees fruited sparsely in remote Sikkim and my collector went there to get the seeds for you
