Just tried the "Marlys" it was ok, kinda pineapple taste. It is no Maha LZ or FP that is for sure. Have one other one to try later. But one thing for sure, it won't win any contest, but I have had worse.

Good to know they are busy. So many told me they are not going this year
I wondered how the crowds were.

How is the festival going? I keep hearing lots of people not going, wonder why?
Guess too pricey for most families nowadays.

Well I will put my 2 cents in. Good thing there are so many varieties of mangoes. There is one for every taste and then some. I am a believer in grow what you like and don't depend on opinions of others as to how good any fruit is or isn't. Try as many different varieties as you can and plant what you like. As far as Angie goes, I rarely get to sell any because I have customers that pre buy them every year. I personally have had no issues as taste or production.

Yes it would be nice if you would please stay off my page advertising another nursery, I think you could easily send a PM and not clog up my page. I have no issues with any other nursery, but this is how I make a living. Not a hobby.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Maha crop did not disappoint!
« on: June 21, 2015, 10:34:08 AM »
this is our first good Maha Chanok crop on a four year old tree. The fruit quality is just superb. The look of the tree and the first good fruiting were both excellent. No doubt a superb mango.

The ARS picker on Amazon is way cheaper than AM Leonard. Mine was $140 delivered. Works great.

I just used that to show the picker, not to promote purchaing from AM.
It is a very good tool, especially for lychees high up.

Good lord. Lol. Everyone has different tastes and favorites. It is not brain surgery or politics! Mango flavor varies year to year depending on many issues. Shooooooooo
