Tropical Fruit Discussion / My Mango & Avocado Trees After The 2016 Winter.
« on: February 27, 2016, 07:45:23 PM »
This year i opted not to cover my in ground trees, All of them did very well after the 5 frost we had at this Location, Minor Leaf burn, Last 2 years i covered my trees and noticed that they suffered more frost damage then the Uncovered tress, Now i see why pugs don't cover her trees ;)..

Took these pics today..

This Avocado seedling was the 1st tree that i planted at our new House 3 Years ago, I Started The Seedling in NYC, Moved To SE Florida, And Took Some nasty Frost last 2 Years, This Year Not Even 1 Leaf Burnt On The Entire Tree, My In Ground Mango Trees Suffered some Leaf burn, but nothing major.

I herd that trees come back stronger after every frost if they survive, This one appears to do just that..
Coldest night so far Upper 20's , Still have February to conquer ! ..
