Looking for a few good folks to go in on a combined shipping order.
I received the following email from Linda Nickerson regarding her variety of the Thompson s-8

“We can ship Sugar Dragon cuttings to Florida, but since I cut fairly large cuttings, they must go in a large, flat rate box, $25 for shipping and handling.  The cuttings are only $8 each, and I can get 15 - 20 per box, so it would be best if you could find someone to go in on some cuttings with you.  We have another variety that is delicious that you can't get anywhere else called Maria Rosa.  It is a pale pink, large, very sweet, and hardier than Delight., that you might be interested in.  We think Sugar Dragon is the only self fertile magenta-fleshed variety available on the market right now.”

So I’m thinking if we get at least 10 or more orders we can get these for about $10-$12 a cutting, shipped. I’m happy to make my home the pickup spot. I live in SW Ranches (just west of I-75 in central Broward).

Active hurricane season equals cold winter last bad storm 06 last good winter for florida

2011 was a the last good winter I recall, for South Florida at least. But I am cautiously excited that this winter will beat that 2011 summer in terms of productivity.

Blooming: Edward, Keitt, Coconut Cream, lemon zest, Angie, Glenn, and FINALLY my Galaxy.
Doing little or nothing: Rapoza, and only swelling buds on my new Coc and Sweet Tart

The only downside to this: the fine people at Zill's high performance are gonna be pissed when they discover that Har has been the one "grating" all the damned trees.

So, late seasons should be coloring up in the next few weeks. Anyone have any galaxy's on the way?

So I was looking to grow a bunch of climbing vines in 1-2 gallon pots but I need to keep them in tight groups due to space. Does anyone have suggestions regarding 1. A cheap yet effective support for the climber (a single bamboo stake?), and 2. Whether or not to simply keep pruning/pinching the top to maintain a bush shape until ready to sell/plant out.

My concern is that they will all begin wrapping around one another and make separation a nightmare later one.
Suggestions?

Congrats! I don't know the answer to your question, but I had a similar one just yesterday. I looked out on my jade vine to see that I have several fruit (seed pods) set after this springs bloom. I thought we didn't have the pollinator here in Florida, but perhaps we do.

Makes me wonder if other non-indiguneous pollinators are afoot in our area.

What's the difference between Venus and Kathy?

And along those lines, I was wondering about the seasons for each of these new types. I imagine Seacrest by be a bit early-mid given its Edward parentage, but is Kathy late?

I'm at the point in my yard where I'm looking more to extend season. Is Kathy late like Venus?

I know this isn't helpful, but apparently, from my experiences on eBay, you don't even need a product to sell on eBay.

I agree with the Glenn suggestion. Not only manageable in height and growth rate, but also has An attractive, round canopy. Also the fruit color up beautifully and have the best nose of any of my other 7 varieties.

  I have never had bland fruit except after periods of heavy rain. Since it's my most productive tree, I give this one to neighbors and aquaintences most often. Nearly everyone who doesn't grow their own trees, claim that these mangos are the best they've ever had.

So it really depends on your audience. I think we are spoiled on the forum. To most everyone else, the Glenn has the most selling points.
