Just noticed the first sprout today with a few more seeds cracked open ready for the root to emerge.

I have a 30 gal potted dwarf ambarella (spondias dulcis) that has been root bound for a few years now. Currently it has fruits on it that are just starting to change color. It also has young green fruit and bloom spikes forming. It doesn't make it into my top 10 fruits but I do enjoy them when they are very ripe. They remind me of mango/pineapple/yellow sweet bell pepper, a nice fruit to nibble on.

Nice job Echinopora! I believe you can graft them on opuntia too, that might speed them up even more?

I'm glad you survived the vicious attack Mike! :)

The last remnants of my white sapote fruit have just fallen. Whatever I can't grab safely from the ladder gets left behind. I'm with Simon, shorter trees! I need to prune my white sapote waaay back this spring and move a few grafts.

My Namibia orange came from a plant sale at the Huntington Gallery and Arboretum. I dont remember which vendor? I'll try to track down a photo of the tag that came with it. If I remember right, it was labeled as being collected outside a French restaurant in Namibia by David Sibler, maybe 1978? Possibly H. Polyrhizus?

Soncoya seeds soaking in 150ppm GA3 for 24hrs. to hopefully help speed up germination. I'll post when the seeds sprout.

I don't know specific times but a friend has multiple trees and I believe his trees bloom in early Spring  (March/April?) and harvests late Summer/early Fall?

Unfortunately mine has not bloomed yet, my plants have been neglected but are getting g better care now. Come spring, I'm putting more effort into my epiphytes.

Thanks for leading the way!

Great job Rannman, can't wait to see the finished fruit! The only info I can offer beyond Ricshaw is I believe my original cuttings came from Don's Epiphyllum World.

Have you ever found Quararibea funebris (Rosa de cacao) Raul? Would love to track down some seeds.

Lucky fellow, those look delicious Mike! I have Oscar's pink, I wonder if I could graft it onto my purple? See if I can speed it up a bit. :)
