I used 300 ppm, I believe that is what was recommended on the original thread. I might try 100 ppm on the Soncoya?

So, should we call these Guerero red and white or is there a local name for these varieties?

Great job Newgen, maybe next spring you'll get lucky?

I know a gentleman with an A. Sericicarpus in the ground in Mia. It is not big enough to fruit yet. They are giant trees so prune early. The fruit is good, mostly just sweet but not alot of flesh surrounding the seed. IMHO there are better tasting artocarpus, jack fruit, chempedak, chempeJack, Kwai muk, possibly chama? If you could pull it off, marang  (A.odoratissimus) is delicious but seems a little more tender than pedalai.

Wow Raul,  how exciting and delicious, I'm glad you are safe!  Such beautiful fruits!!!

Just received an email, he is alive and healthy.

I would think that you should either plant it out or transplant it to a bigger pot.

I agree! Turns out they root pretty easily from cuttings if you want back up.

How can they justify lumping randia in with artocarpus? Do they base these decisions on flowers, fruits, leaves or some kind of magic? I like randia and don't want to update my plant list, so I'm sticking with it! :)

In Central CA,  Malika was the first fruit to drop, with a few more on the tree. Pickering, Graham and M. Lauriana are starting to change. Lancetilla and LZ still bright green.

Bought mine at Mimosa years ago. Really nice tasting fruit, much better than strawberry or lemon guavas,  good sweey/sour mix. I've tried to propagate from seeds and cuttings with no luck so far. Going to try airlayering next.

My first year having mangifera lauriana fruits, when do I pick them? Green, a little color, full orange?

Thanks for your help!
