I found a ground cherry plant growing next to my garden and since I've never planted any I'm assuming birds may have brought me some Seeds

. It has a green husk when unripe. Once ripe the husk and Fruit fall off the plant. Fruit is yellow when ripe and about the size of a dime. Are all ripe physalis edible? If not, how can I be sure this one is? It grew quickly and began flowering and fruiting before a foot tall. Seems like a good one and I wanna try it but figured I'd ask some of your opinions first. Thanks in advance for any info and help.
